Adobe India Women in Technology Scholarship 2020

Adobe India Women in Technology Scholarship 2020 aims to recognise extraordinary female students in the field of Science and Technology. The application process has been started from 25 August 2019 for Adobe India Scholarship for Women in Technology 2020. The last date to apply for Adobe India Women in Technology Scholarship is 22 September 2019. The interested candidates have to submit the application including essays, letter of recommendation from the professor, academic transcripts from the institutions and a resume. This is open to the students pursuing BE, B.Tech or Integrated ME/MS/ M.Tech program.

• Adobe India is inviting applications for the inaugural of Women in Technology Scholarship in India. The Outstanding female students in the field of Science and Technology are eligible to apply for Adobe India Women in Technology Scholarship.
• Adobe India Scholarship for Women in Technology 2020 provides $10,000 and an internship opportunity at Adobe for Summer 2020.

The scholarship aims at bringing together the smartest, most driven individuals and giving them the freedom to nurture their intellectual curiosity. Necessary resources and support to shape the ideas to tangible results will be provided to the selected candidates.

Adobe India Women in Technology Scholarship Dates

The Scholarship Recipients will be intimated one week after the last date of submission of the application. They will receive the following benefits. An Adobe India-wide program will be arranged for felicitation of these Scholarship winners.

• An Internship opportunity at Adobe India for Summer 2020
• Collaboration and Mentoring for Bachelor of Technology Project.
• Tuition Fee: The remainder of the winner's program tuition fee for the academic year ending 2020-21
• Mentoring by senior technology leader of Adobe.
• If any Paper (based on Internship/BTP Collaboration) gets accepted in a conference (approved by Adobe), travel to that conference for one author.
• Travel and participate to Grace Hopper Conference in India. (including participating fees).

Adobe India Women in Technology Application Form can be filled by the candidates from 15 September 2019. The Application can be filled Online at the official website at www.adobe.com. The link to apply for Adobe India Scholarship for Women will also be provided on this page. The candidates also have to noted that no emailed applications will be accepted.

The Adobe India Scholarship Applications must include the following:

• Essays: Expect to answer short essay type questions
• A resume 

• Academic Transcripts of the applicant’s from their current and/or Past Institution
• A letter of recommendation from the professor with whom you have taken a college course

The Recommendation/ Reference Letter from a Professor should answer the following questions. The reference should be sent to  witindia@adobe.com

• How long have you known the applicant and how did you meet?
• Can you rank the applicant as belonging to the top 5, 10, or 20% of the students you have seen?
• Please assess the applicant’s following skills:
  • Intellectual and analytic strength
  • Technical Skills-ability to think creatively
  • Ambition and initiative
  • And Ability to work as part of a team

SoP Writing Instructions for Adobe India Scholarship 2020

The SoP should provide a sketch of the individual, their motivation towards their current academic field and focus on the areas and the direction the individual would like to pursue. Supporting information about prior projects are encouraged. The document should consist of the following 3 parts mentioned below:

Part 1: About yourself

The applicant must Introduce themselves, their Interest and motivations in brief.· What is that one attribute/trait/characteristic of yours that you want to draw attention to, and why is that important?

Part 2: What are your interests in the field of technology? (Elaborate)

What is the area/theme of your interest in the field of technology?

• Ideally, pose a question and define a problem in that area of interest.
• How would you like to address that problem?
• Related research problems, new and/or improvements in technology that you envision.
• What resources (technology and others) would you seek from Adobe to solve that problem if any?

Part 3: Summarize your experiences and accomplishments in key projects:

The candidate must summarise their Undergraduate work as follows:

• The Projects that they have worked on, the title of the project, the persons with whom they worked with, their responsibilities in the Project and the outcome. The Applicant must write all the above points very technically or in the style of their discipline.
• Important paper or thesis paper that they have completed, as well as anything scholarly beyond their curricular requirements.
• Work Experience/ Internship, especially if they had any kind of responsibility for testing, designing, researching or interning.

The Applicant must end their Statement in a positive manner, indicating excitement and readiness for the challenges ahead of you.

Some Tips for writing answers

• The review committee will read between the lines. They will look for self-motivation and competence.
• Emphasize everything from a positive perspective and write in an active, not a passive voice.
• Demonstrate your thoughts by providing examples; don’t just say that you’re a persistent person, show it.
• If you faced personal challenges, write it affirmatively, showing your perseverance in academics despite obstacles.

The Selection of Adobe India Women in Technology 2019 will be done by a Committee of Adobe Researchers. They will review all applicants and choose upto 10 recipients at their discretion. The Selection of the recipients will be made on the basis of the following criteria:

• Academic Record
• A Personal Statement
• Letters of Reference

The candidates may be invited for Telephonic Interview based on the initial review.
