Vellore Institute of Technology, which has its campuses in both in Vellore and Chennai, announced the date for its entrance exam, VITEEE 2015 for the four year B.Tech program. VITEEE- Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam will be held in the first week of April 2015.
Eligibility for VITEEE 2015
1) Only candidates from regular, formal and full time educational backgrounds will be considered eligible for the entrance exam.
2) The candidate must have secured 60 percent or more in Physics, Chemistry, and Math/Biology in their +2 examination.
3) The cut off percentage for SC/ST students and students hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura is 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Math/ Biology ( Proof of origin from the states must be attested by a competent authority )
4) Only Candidates born on or after July 1,1995 are eligible to take up VITEEE 2015.
Procedure for application for VITEEE 2015
VITEEE 2015 Application form will be available in select post offices or can be downloaded from the VIT website from the first week of December. Mode of payment is through internet banking. Candidate may pay through a valid credit/Debit card or through a demand draft.
