Anna University has declared the result of TANCET 2018 on 8 June. TANCET 2018 result has been announced for candidates who have appeared for MBA courses on 19 May. Normalization Procedure of marks in TANCET 2018
The marks of TANCET 2018 are normalized for the calculation of result to make the equal calculation of marks for all candidates. The authorities use the normalization procedure because the mean scores and the standard deviation of the raw scores obtained in part III may vary from discipline to discipline, as this section will depend on the discipline selected by the aspirants. A formula has been adapted for the normalization process which is provided below.
Formula: Normalized marks = 40 + (10/s) (r-m)
In the above formula, s = standard deviation; r = raw scores and m = mean
After the publication of TANCET mark sheets, the counselling will be conducted separately by Tamil Nadu Common Admissions 2018 (TANCA). Candidates who have qualified TANCET 2018 are eligible to apply for counselling procedure. Two separate category-wise merit list will be prepared. The seat allotment will be done on the basis of merit rank of aspirants. Unregistered aspirants will not be allowed to appear for TANCA 2018.
