CLAT 2015 upper age limit has been scrapped by Allahabad High Court. CLAT is a alw entrance exam for admission intp five-year Integrated LLB programs in 16 National Law Universities in India.
CLAT 2015 will be conducted by Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU) for the academic session 2015-16. The High Court stated that no law gives authority to the University to fix an upper age limit for appearing in the national law entrance exam.
This order was given by the High Court in response to the petition filed by Devasheesh Pathak and 20 other people.
Earlier the High court stated that when Bar Council of India has withdrawn the Upper age limit of 20 years for admission in Integrated Law Programme through its notification on September 28, 2013 then why has the vice chancellor of RMNLU, also the convenor for CLAT 2015 shut its eyes.
So finally the upper age limit to appear in CLAT 2015 has been scrapped and the students who could not apply earlier for the law entrance exam can now apply. So the students who satisfy the other eligibility conditions can apply for CLAT 2015 before March 31, 2015. CLAT 2015 exam will be conducted on May 10, 2015.
