The Delhi University administration has decided that it will continue with the Entrance Exam for admission to BMS - Bachelor of Management Studies programme in 2014. The admission process will start from June 2, 2014 along with the rest of the undergraduate courses of the Delhi University.

When was BMS Entrance Exam of Delhi Universtry Started?

BMS Entrance Exam of Delhi University was started in the year 2013 for admission to BMS Course. BMS was introduced as a new course which was a part of  four year undergraduate programme. It was introduced under Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) but the exam faced a lot of criticism over the errors in the Entrance Exam Question Paper and some students even filed cases in the court against FMS. 

Earlier it was decided to scrap off the BMS Entrance Exam 2014

Delhi University had earlier decided that it will do away with the Entrance Exam for BMS and instead base the admission  to the course on Class 12 Marks and Personal Interview. Principals of the six Delhi University colleges that offer BMS course and university administration had opposed the proposal of the Committee headed by the dean of Faculty of Management studies'  proposal at a meeting on Thursday (15 May) and had asked the committee to reconsider their proposal.

What is the New Admission Pattern for BMS Entrance Exam 2014
Delhi University has made it official on May 20, 2014 that the admission to Delhi University BMS Course for the academic year 2014-15 will be based on BMS Entrance Exam and  Class 12 Board Exam Marks ( Best of Four). 50% weightage would be given to Class 12 marks and 50% weightage to the BMS Entrance Exam 2014.

Six Colleges that offer admission to BMS Course in Delhi University are:

  • Sukhdev College of Business Studies
  • Deen Dyal Upadhyaya
  • Keshav Mahavidyalaya
  • Maharaja Agrasen College
  • College of Vocational Studies
  • BR Ambedkar

There are around 840 seats combined in all the six colleges.
