Logical and Critical Reasoning: According to the feedback of the students, the logical and critical reasoning was the most time consuming among all the sections. The difficulty level of the section can be defined as moderate to slightly difficult.

  • However, the students who had applied the strategy to solve the moderately difficult questions.
  • If the students had attempted 50 questions in 60 minutes, then it would be the good strategy. The questions asked from the topics are given in the table below.

Abstract Reasoning: This section was the easiest among all. The difficulty level of this section was much easier as compared to last year question paper of MAH CET. A good follow-up can make the students to attempt 18-20 questions in 20 minutes very easily. Series (Find Next Fig.), Analogies and Similar pair were some of the topics from where the questions were asked.

Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension: In this section, the grammar based questions like sentence correction, error spotting and possible starters were stated. This year the out of context questions which were of moderate difficulty level was spotted which had been replaced by the Para Jumble questions asked last year.

  • The traditional cloze passage based questions saw a different pattern but very easily manageable for any student. The students who have prepared for the exam well could have attempted around 30-35 questions in 30 minutes.
  • It would be considered as the good attempt. The overall difficulty level of the section for the slot 1 was moderately difficult, but for the slot 3, it was more as compare to the slot 1 paper.

Quantitative Aptitude: This section was moderately difficult. The sets of Data Interpretation were quite easily understandable and could be solved easily. A good student would be able to solve around 27-30 questions in 40 minutes.

  • Most of the questions in Quantitative Aptitude were from the Arithmetic section. However, the data was not straight forward.
  • The clarity of the concepts would have helped a student solve it faster. Students, who haven’t practised much, could find this section difficult.
