JNU Application Form 2019 can be filled Online from 15 March -15 April 2019. Students desirous of taking admission in JNU in BA (H) 1st & 2nd Year, MSc, MCA, M.Sc, MTech, MPhil, PhD, Integrated M.Sc have to fill the application form of JNU to seek admission in into these courses. Candidates wishing to apply for Certificate of Proficiency, Diploma of Proficiency, Advanced Diploma in Mass Media courses are also required to fill the common application form of JNU. The process of filling of JNU Online Application Form 2019 has started, and the candidates can fill the application through online mode till the second week of October 2018. Before filling the JNU application form, the candidate should go through JNU prospectus carefully. Still, if there is any mistake in the JNU Online Application form 2019, then the candidate will also get an opportunity for JNU application form correction.

For the academic year 2018-19, about 78,000 students have registered for the JNU Admissions, which was 30% higher than the previous year applications which were about 60,000 in the previous academic year.

JNU application form 2019 is available to the candidates online from 15 March to 15 April 2019. The candidates are advised to submit the JNU Online Application Form 2019 before the last JNU application form date to avoid any inconvenience.

The application form of JNU can be filled online. The candidates who want to apply online should visit the official website of JNU or click on the following link. The students can also download the JNU Application form 2019 or purchase from the University Counter. How to fill JNU Online Application Form 2019

STEP 1: Registration

The JNU 2019 Registrations is going to start from the third week of September 2018, to register, the candidates are required to follow the link given above and provide their Program of Study to which they are applying, name as it appears on Class 10 mark sheet, a valid email id, mobile number, Nationality and date of birth.

After that, they have to give a new or existing username with password.

  • The password should be the combination of alphabets, special characters and numbers. Use of space is not allowed. Minimum 8 characters and a maximum of 15 characters are allowed.
  • Upon successful registration, the applicant will receive an e-mail with his/her e-mail address with Application Number and password information.

STEP 2: Fill the JNU Application Form 2019 giving personal and Academic details

  • Father/Mother’s Name: Candidates have to mention their father’s name as it appears on the Class 10 mark sheet and mother’s name. Candidate should take care that the names are written in BLOCK Letters.
  • Gender: Candidates have to furnish the gender to which they belong from the drop-down menu.
  • Category: Further down the form, candidates have to fill the category to which they belong from the drop-down menu.
  • PwD Category: If a candidate is with a minimum of 40% disability, darken/select (ONLINE) the bubble corresponding to their Person with Disability category as given below. Otherwise, leave it blank.

  • Minority Community: If a candidate belongs to Minority Community, select the appropriate bubble, otherwise leave it blank. 
  • Leprosy Affected Person: If a candidate is a dependent son/daughter of Leprosy Affected Person (LAP) residing in Leprosy colonies, select the appropriate bubble, otherwise leave it blank.
  • Kashmiri Migrant: In case a candidate is a  Kashmiri Migrant, select the bubble, otherwise leave it blank.
  • Defence Personnel: In case a candidate belonging to the Defence Personnel category, select the bubble, otherwise leave it blank.
  • State of Domicile: Candidates have to mention the code of the state to which they belong from the list given at the end of the page.
  • Entrance Exam Centre: Candidates have to fill the entrance exam centre from the drop-down menu or the list given at the end of this page where they would like to take the entrance examination. Preference for Exam Centres cannot be changed after making the payment of fees
  • Maximum Number of Fields of Study candidate can choose: Candidates can opt for a maximum of three fields of study of their choice to be indicated in the same application form in order of preference for admission from among those listed under the programmes of study offered by various Schools/Centres for appearing in the entrance examination.

For B.A.(Hons.) 1st Year - Foreign Languages are grouped according to
the following clusters: 

  • Cluster 1: French, German, Spanish, Russian 
  • Cluster 2: Japanese, Korean, Chinese 
  • Cluster 3: Persian, Arabic, Pashto 

Address Details

  • Present Employment Record: Candidates are required to indicate the details of their present employment if any.
  • Student of JNU: Candidates are required to furnish whether they are the student of JNU or not.
  • Student of any University: Candidates have to fill the appropriate bubble if they are or they are not the student of any other University at present. If they are then further, they have to mention the name of the University and the course name.

  • Correspondence Address: Candidates have to fill the complete correspondence/Permanent address including Pin Code. For online Applicants, if both the permanent and the correspondence address are same then put a tick in the checkbox.

Qualification Details 

  • While filling up the information relating to the Academic Record, the candidates have to ignore all the examinations which are not relevant.
  • Further, they should indicate the name of the relevant examination i. e. High School, Higher Secondary, Senior School Certificate (10+2), Intermediate or equivalent, B.A. (Hons.), B.A.(Pass), B.Sc. (Hons.), B.Sc. (Pass), B.Com, B.Com (Hons.), B.Tech., B.E., M.B.B.S., M.A., M.Sc. or MCA etc., as the case may be.
  • If a candidate appears for final year examination he/she should fill in all the columns except the percentage of marks column wherein he/she should write "APPEARING”
  • In case the University/Institution from where the candidates have passed the examination follows letter grading system/CGPA, they are required to indicate the equivalent percentage in the space provided in the application form for the purpose of determining the eligibility.
  • Candidates are required to write the name of the School/Institution and district/State where it is located.
  • Candidates have to select the bubble whether the qualifying examination is through Distance Mode.
  • Lastly, the candidates have to mention the subject or papers which they are studying.

Step 3: Upload Photograph and Signature in Application Form

Photograph Specifications: Photograph should be taken on, or after 1 Jan 2019 only have to be uploaded. Dimensions: preferable width 150px and height 200px ; size should be between 10-100 KB

Signature Specifications: Dimensions: preferable width 140px and height 60px, Signature size should be between 4 and 30 KB

Step 4: Pay the JNU Application Fee- Candidates can pay the application Fees via following modes

  • Syndicate Bank Payment Gateway, ICICI Bank Payment Gateway (Net Banking/Debit/Credit Card/e-Challan)

Submission of JNU Online Application Form 2019

Candidates need not to send print-out of JNU Online Application Form 2019 or any other document to JNU rather. However, the candidates are advised to take a printout of the confirmation page and keep it safely for future use.

JNU Application Form Correction

JNU will open the window to correct the application form of JNU for the candidates who have applied for the JNUEE 2019-20. Candidates are required to log in using their Username and Password by following the link below.

  • Before the Payment of Application Fees: The Candidate can edit the application form himself/herself before paying the fees through the edit option available in the application form.
  • After Payment of Application Fees:  Once the fee is paid and online form submitted, any correction in the online form can be carried out tentatively on 25 and 26 October 2018 only till 5.00PM. Candidates may please note that no correction in the online application form would be allowed under any circumstances after 26 October 2018 (this date may be revised).

Forgot the JNU Application Form Number

  • The students are advised to check their mailbox or message box as they have already received an automated message and mail when they will fill the form.
  • If candidates have not received the password on mobile then either call on the helpline number or click on Forgot Password and the password will come in their mailbox.
