Gujarat MBBS/BDS Admission 2018 is conducted by Admission Committee for Professional Medical Education Courses (ACPMEC), Gujarat. The application form of Gujarat MBBS is over. The registered candidates must report at the designated help centres along with the relevant documents for verification purpose. Gujarat MBBS merit list 2018 will be available soon. NEET 2018 has been conducted on 6 May by CBSE. NEET result has been declared on 4 June 2018. From all the government medical colleges, 15% seats are reserved for 15% All India Quota which will be filled by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). While the remaining 85% seats are reserved for state quota seats, which will be filled by respective state authorities based on NEET scores.

Only candidates who secured the minimum cut off in NEET will be eligible to appear for Gujarat MBBS/BDS admission 2018. General category candidates are required to secure at least 50 percentile in NEET UG 2018, while for SC/ST/OBC it is 40 percentile.

Age: The age of the candidate should be minimum 17 years as on 31 December 2017 and must be a citizen of India.

Academic Qualification:

• The candidate must have passed the 12 from Science stream with Biology
• The candidate should have completes his school from one of the schools in Gujarat.
• Candidates who have passed Class 12 from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya located outside Gujarat, will be eligible to apply if they have studied up to Class 8 from one of the JNV which is in the Gujarat
• Candidates who meet the domicile criteria specified by the authorities will be eligible to apply for the admissions
• Candidates who have appeared for the supplementary exams are not eligible to appear for the admissions.

Qualifying Exam: The candidate should have appeared and qualified the NEET 2017 for the admission to the MBBS/BDS/BHMS/BAMS/BNAT UG Courses.

How to fill Gujarat MBBS/BDS Application Form 2018?

Below are the steps for Gujarat MBBS/BDS online registrations. Aspirants can go through the procedure and get their doubts clear.

Step 1 – Registration

In order to register for Gujarat MBBS/BDS admission 2018, candidates must obtain the PIN number from the list of provided Axis Bank by paying the required application fee. This application fee is non-refundable. Thereafter, click on the link provided on this page to fill the application form of Gujarat MBBS/BDS application form.

Gujarat MBBS/BDS application fee for general and reserved category aspirants is Rs. 200.

Step 2 – Select the option Appeared or not in NEET

Aspirant will need to register as ‘New’ and choose default course ‘Medical and Paramedical’. Thereafter, answer the question saying that ‘have you appeared for NEET 2018?’

Candidates will receive an OTP (One Time Password) number on their registered mobile number after the submission of the above details. Only after submission of OTP number in the space provided, candidates will be permitted to proceed further.

Step 3 – Filling of Gujarat MBBS/BDS Application Form 2018

Candidates must fill their personal, educational, contact and NEET details as displayed on the online registration form. The submitted details will be verified at the time of document verification, thus, candidates must enter the correct information. Any error in the application form will lead to cancellation of candidature form Gujarat MBBS/BDS admission 2018.

Step 4 – Uploading of documents

Thereafter, aspirants have to upload the scanned images of passport size photograph and signature in the Gujarat MBBS/BDS application form as per the specifications:

• The photograph should be in JPEG/JPG format and should not be less than 40kb.
• The signature must be in JPEG/JPG format and should not be less than 20kb

Step 5 – Password and user ID

After uploading of photograph and signature, candidates will be issued a login/user ID for Gujarat MBBS/BDS application form.  After that they need to create a password with at least 6 and maximum 12 characters long. Also, enter the security pin as provided in the image.

Step 6 – Editing and submission

Once the application form of Gujarat MBBS/BDS admission 2018 is submitted, then, candidates should accept the final declaration of and ‘submit the application form’. Candidates can edit the application form of Gujarat MBBS/BDS admission 2018 before the final submission.

After completion of all formalities, candidates must take at least two printouts of the application form. Candidates after filling the application form are required to report at the document verification centres with the relevant documents.

Gujarat MBBS/BDS 2018 Merit List

The merit list of Gujarat MBBS/BDS 2018 will be released after the authority will receive the application form by the eligible students. Gujarat MBBS merit list will be published in the first week of July 2018. Based on the NEET scores, Gujarat MBBS/BDS 2018 merit list will be prepared. Gujarat MBBS/BDS 2018 Counselling Procedure

• Choice filling for Gujarat MBBS/BDS counselling

After the publication of the merit list, the ACPMEC will conduct the counselling of Gujarat MBBS/BDS 2018 in online mode. In order to participate for Gujarat Medical counselling 2018, aspirants will have to log in using the required credentials. After logging in, aspirants have to provide their preferences of colleges as well as courses for admission to Gujarat MBBS/BDS admission. Candidates can submit multiple numbers of colleges. Once the choices will be submitted, it cannot be changed.

• Gujarat MBBS/BDS Seat Allotment Round 1

After the submission of preferences of colleges and applications, the conducting body will process the seat allotment process. The process of seat allotment will be done on the basis of state rank, preferences of colleges and seats available. The result of Gujarat MBBS/BDS admission 2018 will be available when it will be released. 

• Reporting at the allotted college

Aspirants must take a printout of information letter and fee receipt to report at the allotted colleges for completion of Gujarat MBBS/BDS admission process. Aspirants must carry the relevant documents and a set of photocopy as well. The documents will be verified by the admission incharge. Any candidate with invalid documents will lead to cancellation of candidature.

Document Required at the time of Gujarat Medical Admission

The candidate shall produce original documents for verification and attach the self-attested copies of the following documents with the Application Form.

• Qualifying Examination/Standard 12 (HSC) mark-sheet as the case may be;
• NEET mark-sheet of current academic year
• School Leaving Certificate or Transfer Certificate;
• S.S.C. Examination (Std. 10^th) mark-sheet and passing certificate,
• Caste certificate for a belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), (SEBC), issued by the authority empowered by the Government in that behalf; (for SC, ST, and SEBC candidates);
• Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate  of the family, as per the prevailing policy of the Government issued by the authority empowered by the Government in this behalf (for SEBC candidates);
• Certificate of Physical Disability, issued and duly signed by the medical board constituted or medical officer authorised for the purpose; (for physically disabled candidates);
• The certificate of local candidate from the Dean of NHLMMC,  Ahmedabad  or, as the case may be, from SMIMER, Surat; and
• The documentary evidence of NRI Status for candidate who desires to take admission on NRI seat,
• The necessary proof regarding his minority status and writing about his willingness to take admission in the concerned minority college/ institution for candidate belonging to minority community.

The merit list for the admission in medical courses in Gujarat is released on 7 July 2017. Admissions to state quota seats in the state of Gujarat will be done on the basis of NEET scores. The candidates whose name will appear in Gujarat Medical Merit List of Gujarat candidates will be called for the counselling and admission process.
