KGMU BSc Nursing Admissions 2018 application process has started from 15 May 2018 and ended on 10 July 2018. The result of KGMU Bsc Entrance exam has been released on 6 August 2018. The candidates who want to get BSc Nursing Admission must clear the entrance examination conducted by the KGMU for the admission. KGMU Bsc Nursing Admissions Eligibility criteria

Age - Minimum age for admission is 17 years on or before 31st December 2017.

Gender- Both Male and Female candidates are eligible. Vivekanand College of Nursing and Sahara College of Nursing and BCM College of Nursing, Khairabad, Sitapur, have seats for female candidates only 

Educational Qualification - Minimum qualifications for admission are as per latest INC regulation.

  • 10+2 with 45% marks in science (PCBE) from any recognized board. (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English)
  • Candidates are also eligible for State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by the central government having Science subjects and English only.
  • 5% of total marks is relaxed for SC/ST candidates.
  • Any other reservation as per the State Govt. under the reservation policy.
  • Reservation shall be included in the seats sanctioned and not above it.

KGMU Bsc Nursing Admissions Application form and Admit Card

KGMU BSc Nursing application process has been started and link for the same is available now. Candidates who want to get admission in KGMU BSc Nursing program can fill the online application form now. The candidates can fill the application form by visiting the official website.

Steps to fill KGMU BSc Nursing Application Form

STEP 1: Candidates have to register first and create login ID and Password on the website and keep it for all future correspondence.

STEP 2: Candidates have to fill all the details in the application form carefully and check them before final submission because incomplete application form will be rejected and no inquiry will be entertained regarding this.

STEP 3: Candidates can pay the application fee through Bank Challan or Internet Banking. 

  • The candidate can pay through Bank Challan of Allahabad Bank / HDFC Bank. For this first download bank challan from website www.kgmu.org and deposit the examination fee in any branch of the Allahabad Bank or HDFC bank branch in India by 7 July 2018. The candidates will be provided a receipt with Transaction ID number on its deposition. Further, the candidate has to upload the scanned copy of this bank receipt with this Transaction ID for filling the application form. Those who are paying the fee through bank Challan have to re-login with login ID and Password after two working days of making the payment in the bank and only then the candidates can fill the application form.
  • The candidates who are paying by Credit card /Debit card (Master/Visa card only) or Net banking has to pay on or before 10 July 2018.

STEP 4: Candidates should take the print out of completed application form for further reference.

Submission of the Application Form

The Application Form of KGMU BSc Nursing program will be submitted through online mode only. Candidates should recheck all the details filled in the application form before the final submission because the incomplete form will be rejected. Candidates can pay the application fee through Bank Challan or Internet Banking.

KGMU Admit Card for BSc 2018

Admit card will be available online from 23 July 2018. Admit card can also be obtained in person (in the case of inability to download) on 28 July 2018 from Examination Section, Pariksha Bhawan, (PHI) KG Medical University U.P, Lucknow on payment of Rs.100.

KGMU Bsc Nursing Admissions Fees

Examination Fee shall be submitted with the prescribed application form and online only. The category wise application fee is mentioned below:

KGMU Bsc Nursing Admissions Result and Counselling

The selection of candidate is strictly based on the merit of the entrance examination and preference of the college given by the candidate. The result of KGMU BSc Nursing entrance exam will be declared on 6 August 2018. The merit will be created on the basis of highest marks obtained by the candidate in the examination as per the following order:

  • The first round of the counselling for the candidates having Rank ranging from 1 to 500 and candidates belonging to ST/Freedom Fighter/Ex Army Service Man/Physically Handicapped Candidates of all Ranks will be required to reach the venue for the 1st Round of counselling.
    • Venue: 1st Floor of Kalam Centre of King George's Medical University, UP Lucknow.
  • Candidates have to submit a nonrefundable fee of Rs. 300 through Bank Draft in favour of ‘Dean, Faculty of Nursing, KGMU’ payable at Lucknow, at the time of counselling.
  • A separate Bank Draft of Rs. 5,000 in favour of "Controller of Examination, KGMU", payable at Lucknow has to be deposited by the candidates at the time of counselling, on the award of a seat.
  • The Bank Draft of Rs. 5,000 shall be returned to the candidate on his/her joining of any one of Nursing Courses. However, if the candidate opts for a seat and does not join then University will forfeit that money.

Seats in different nursing colleges are available and they can be increased or decreased at the time of counseling on the directives of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor. Category-wise distribution of seats will be as per UP Public Service Commission Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Class Reservation amendment ordinance 2002.

KGMU Bsc Nursing Admissions Exam pattern

Exam Duration: 180 Minutes (11:00 AM to 2.00 PM). The candidates are required to be present at exam center 1 hour before the test. 

  • Language: English
  • Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
  • Negative Marking: There shall be NO negative marking.

Subjects -  Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, English and General Knowledge of Intermediate standard
