About FMS BHU MBA

FMS BHU 2020 or Faculty of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University admissions for its MBA programmes will be based on CAT 2019 score. FMS BHU offers admission to its two-year full-time MBA and MBA in International Business. Before applying for BHU FMS MBA admission, candidates are required to appear for CAT 2019. Based on CAT score, applicants will be shortlisted for the pre-admission rounds and admission counselling. The combined merit for admission to FMS BHU will be 50% for CAT 2019, 20% for Academic Profile and 30% for Personal Interview. 

The BHU MBA registration process has started from 10 September 2019. Candidates applying for the MBA programmes of BHU FMS are required to appear for CAT 2019. For the convenience of aspirants, a link to access the FMS application form will be provided on this page. The foreign candidates applying for BHU MBA and MBA IB programmes are required to have a valid GMAT score. The BHU MBA Group Discussions and Personal Interview rounds will be held in March 2020. FMS BHU MBA Programmes, Seats

The Faculty of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University 2020 will grant admission to candidates based on CAT 2019 score to the following programmes

  • Master of Business Administration (Seats: 59) - Specialization in Marketing, Human Resource Management, Finance, Operations Management, Information Technology (as specified in the prevailing ordinance governing the conduct of the Program)
  • Master of Business Administration (Seats: 59) - Specialization in Marketing, Human Resource Management, Finance, Operations Management, Information Technology, Global Business Operations (as specified in the prevailing ordinance governing the conduct of the Program) 

Apart from the above two courses BHU also offers MBA Agri-Business, the admission to this course is based on Written Test and GDPI conducted at FMS BHU. Also, the FMS BHU offers one year Executive Post Graduate course that is Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBA). The Admission is done based on Written Test and GDPI at FMS BHU.

FMS BHU MBA Eligibility criteria

It is necessary for aspirants to go through the FMS BHU eligibility norms before they start filling the FMS BHU application form. Some of the eligibility norms of FMS, Banaras Hindu University are given below -

Age There is no upper age limit to apply for FMS BHU. However, one must be at least 17 years of age
Academic Criteria Aspirants must have completed their graduation/equivalent exam from a recognised University with at least 50% (ST/SC: 45%)

 

Some important points regarding the FMS BHU eligibility criteria 2020 are as follows 

  • The qualifying degree must be from a University or Institute recognized by AIU or AICTE
  • Applicants who are in their appearing in the final year of the qualifying exam are required to produce a certificate from Head of the Institute where they are studying and that the exam will conclude by 30 June
  • Such candidates are required to produce the mark sheet on or before 5 October of the year of admission, if they are allotted seats

BHU MBA  Application Form 2020 - Apply online

The application process for FMS BHU MBA Admission will be conducted through online mode. Candidates are required to have a valid email id and mobile no. for registration, preferably the same they have used for CAT 2019 registration purpose. Documents Required along with the BHU MBA Application Form

The Application Form submitted by the candidates will be incomplete without the submission of the following documents:

  • Duly signed hardcopy of the admission application form (already submitted online)
  • Self-attested copy of the CAT 2019 Scorecard.
  • Self-attested copies of Marksheets of Class 10th, Class 12th and qualifying examination (Semester wise) (excluding final year, if the candidate is appearing in the qualifying examination)
  • Appearing Certificate from the Head of the Institution in case, the candidate is appearing in the qualifying examination
  • Self-attested copy of Caste Certificate (In case of SC, ST, NC OBC).
  • Self-attested copy of disability certificate (In case of Differentially abled candidates)

FMS BHU MBA Fee - Application, Course Fee

At the time of applying for FMS BHU 2020, candidates are required to pay the application fee of Rs. 1500 (SC/ST: 800). The FMS BHU application fee can be paid online mode through the admission portal only.

FMS BHU - Reservation of seats

Like every other educational institute, FMS BHU follows the norms regarding reservation of seats as per the norms of Government of India. The following are the percentage of seats reserved in FMS BHU 2020 MBA admission 2020

  • Other Backward Class: 27%
  • Scheduled Tribe: 7.5%
  • Scheduled Caste: 15%
  • Physically Challenged: 3%
  • Foreign Nationals in MBA & MBA (IB): 15% of the Regular seats

FMS BHU MBA 2020 Result

MS BHU MBA and MBA (IB) admissions for Indian Nationals will be based on CAT 2019 scores and the Group Discussion and Personal Interview conducted at BHU. The final admission will be allotted after considering the following weightage -

FMS BHU MBA and MBA (IB) Admissions for Foreign Nationals will be based on their GMAT scores. As mentioned earlier, a total of 15% of the intake is reserved for the Foreign Nationals. 

FMS BHU MBA - Group Discussion & Personal Interview

Group Discussion and Interview for admission to MBA and MBA (International Business) programs for the academic session 2020-21 will be conducted from the third week of March 2020. On the basis of the above-mentioned criteria, candidates will be shortlisted for the pre-admission rounds i.e. Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds. The shortlisted candidates are required to visit the allotted GD and PI centres along with the required documents. Only the aspirants who have successfully appeared for GD and PI rounds will be considered for admission.

FMS BHU GD and PI Documents (Photocopies)

The following are the documents that candidates are required to carry to the Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds.

  1. Duly signed hard copy of the admission application form (already submitted online)
  2. Photo identity proof (Aadhar Card/ PAN) with a self-attested copy of the respective document)
  3. Copy of GD & PI Call letter/email communication
  4. Self-attested copy of the CAT 2019 Scorecard
  5. Self-attested copies of Mark-sheets of Class 10, Class 12 and qualifying examination (year wise Mark-sheets).
  6. Appearing Certificate from the Head of the Institution in case, the candidate is appearing in the qualifying examination.
  7. Self-attested copy of Caste Certificate (in case of SC, ST, NC OBC).
  8. Self-attested copy of disability certificate (in case of Differentially abled candidates)
  9. A crossed Bank Draft / Pay Order / Bankers Cheque of Rs. 2000 drawn in favour of the Registrar, Banaras Hindu University payable at Varanasi. It is to be noted that cash will not be accepted.

Candidates are advised to keep 10 extra copies of the recent and identical photograph as pasted on the application form for future use, as and when needed.

FMS BHU GD and PI Documents (Original)

The following are the original documents that candidates are required to carry along with them during the counselling rounds -

  • Mark-sheets and Certificates/Provisional Degree/Degree of Class X, XII & Graduation (All Semesters)
  • Matriculation OR its equivalent certificate to ascertain the date of birth.
  • Intermediate (+2) OR its equivalent certificate
  • Caste Certificate issued by the appropriate authority, if admission is sought under SC, ST or NC OBC Category
  • CAT 2019 Score Card provided by the IIM
  • Character Certificate issued by the institution last attended.
  • Migration Certificate issued by the Institution last attended (Transfer Certificate in case of BHU Students if they have not got their migration certificate issued from BHU).

Group Discussion and Personal Interview Amount

Candidates called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview, need to pay a Fees of Rs. 2000 in the form of Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of the Registrar, Banaras Hindu University payable at Varanasi.

FMS BHU Supernumerary Seats

The candidates willing to take admission in FMS BHU  underpaid quota seats are generally offered the Supernumerary seats. The candidates are required to fill up their options when reporting at FMS BHU at the time of Group Discussion. A total of 15% of seats are available under the supernumerary admission. Here, the seats will be allotted under the Paid Seat Scheme, however, the admission will be held after the conclusion of regular seat admission. The candidates are required to pay annual Paid Seat fee of Rs. 1,50,000 through a Demand Draft in favour of Registrar, Banaras Hindu University, payable at Varanasi.
