HPU BSc Nursing Dates

Candidates can check the important dates of HPU BSc Nursing 2018:

Domicile

• HPU B.Sc Nursing admission is only for female candidates who have the state domicile or are the children of Bonafide Himachali/Domicile/Himachal Government.
• Candidates who are not domicile of Himachal Pradesh can get admission in B.Sc Nursing seats under the 50% Management Quota seats in Private Un-aided B.Sc Nursing Colleges in State of Himachal Pradesh

Age

• The candidates must be aged between 17 to 35 years of age as on 31 December 2018, that is they should be born between 1 January 1984 to 1 January 2002.
• There is age relaxation of five years in the case of SC/ST candidates born between 1 January 1979 to 1 January 2002.

Academic Qualification

• The candidate must have passed their Class 10+2 or its equivalent examination from H.P Board of School Education/AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSE or any other Board/University established by law in India in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually with 45% marks taken together in all the three subjects in the qualifying examination.
• The SC/ST/OBC candidates must have obtained 40% in all the subjects taken together.
• The candidates who have passed Class 10+2 examination from National Institute of Open School (NIOS) or appeared in 10+2 examination Science (Medical) conducted by National Institute of Open School can also apply.

Registration: Candidates must Register themselves on the HP BSc Nursing Admission portal. After the registration, a new account will be created. The candidate will get a unique Application Form number and they are advised to keep the number with them for future reference.

Basic Details: Candidates must fill the basic details in the online application form such as name, date of birth, father’s name, permanent address, correspondence address, email id, contact number, educational qualification etc.

Upload Photograph and Signature: The candidates must upload their photograph and signature according to the following specifications:

Application Fee: Candidates must pay the Application fee of Rs 1400 for General candidates/OBC  and Rs 700 for SC/ST/and their sub-categories candidates.

Payment: The candidates can pay the application fee through either of the options

• HDFC/SBI/HP State Co-operative Bank.
• Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.

Submit: After filling the complete Online application form and the payment of fees, the candidates need to preview their duly filled in application form and click on submit button.

Submission of Application Form

The candidates must fill the duly filled in Online Application Form and take a printout of the computer generated application copy of the duly filled in Application Form and preserve it for future correspondence. The candidates are advised not to post fee receipt or confirmation page to HPU University.

HPU BSc Nursing Test Center

HPU BSc Nursing will be held in four examination centre that is

• Bilaspur
• Dharamshala
• Kangra
• Hamirpur
• Mandi
• Shimla.

The preference of the test centre once filled by the candidates cannot be changed and no request for the change in the exam centre by the candidates will be entertained.

HPU BSc Nursing Result 2018 will be declared on 20 July 2018. HPU BSc Nursing category wise Merit List will be issued on 27 July 2018. The Merit List will be made available in the University Notice Board and also in the website.

HPU BSc Nursing Counselling Process 2018

Himachal Pradesh University will conduct a counselling session for the successful candidates who will pass HPU Entrance Test 2018. The candidates will be called for the rounds of counselling on the basis of Merit List. The seat will be allotted to the candidates according to their merit-cum-choice of the candidates in the college.

The Admission process will be completed through counselling within the specified period by the Counselling Committee constituted by the Director, Medical Education and Research, H.P, Shimla. The counselling for all the qualified candidates will be held in the H.P University Auditorium, Summer Hill, Shimla-171005.

• HPU BSc Nursing Entrance exam will be a pen paper-based test consisting of one paper only.
• Question Type: Multiple choice questions
• Number of Question: 100
• Duration: 2 hours
• Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.
• Syllabus: The syllabus will only be based on class 10 & 12 standard.
