CIPET B.Tech Admission 2018

CIPET B.Tech Admission 2018 - CPET is an autonomous institute under the department of chemicals and petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. It offers various Undergraduate as well as Postgraduate Diploma courses. CIPET is the only institute of this kind in India where all facilities like design, tooling, processing and testing of plastics are available under one roof. CIPET B.Tech Admission 2018 is based as per the norms of the affiliating university and the B.Tech is offered in four CIPET Centers in India and they offer two specialisations in B.Tech and they are as follows. 

• B.Tech in Plastic Engineering
• B.Tech in Manufacturing Engineering

CIPET B.Tech Admission Centres in India

• The four CIPET Centres for B.E/ B.Tech Plastic Engineering and B.E/ B.Tech Manufacturing Engineering is as follows:

• There is no common process for admission into B.Tech in CIPET centres rather the admission for B.E/ B.Tech is done as per the affiliated University norms.

The Eligibility for B.E/ B.Tech Plastic Engineering and B.E/ B.Tech Manufacturing Engineering in the four centres are as follows:

Academic Qualification: The candidate must have passed H.Sc/ 10 +2 (Academic stream) with Maths, Physics & Chemistry.

Maximum Age: The candidate should not be more than 21 years.

CIPET Ahmedabad: CIPET Ahmedabad does not conduct any Joint Entrance Exam on its own. All the eligible candidates need to clear JEE Main first and apply for Admission Committee for Professional Course (ACPC) Counselling. If the candidates are successfully selected in ACPC Counselling then they can take admission in B.Tech Plastics and B.Tech Manufacturing Engineering at CIPET Ahmedabad which is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University.

CIPET Bhubaneswar: CIPET Bhubaneswar also does not conduct any Joint Entrance Exam on its own. All the eligible candidates need to clear JEE Main first and apply for Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Counselling. If the candidates are successfully selected in OJEE Counselling then they can take admission in B.Tech Plastics and B.Tech Manufacturing Engineering at CIPET Bhubaneswar which is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology and Utkal University.

CIPET Lucknow: CIPET Lucknow also does not conduct any Joint Entrance Exam on its own. All the eligible candidates need to clear JEE Main first. A candidate need not apply for Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination UPSEE Counselling. If the candidates are successfully selected in UPSEE Counselling then they can take admission in B.Tech Plastics and B.Tech Manufacturing Engineering at CIPET Lucknow which is affiliated to A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University.

CIPET Chennai: CIPET Chennai takes admission on the basis of Class 12 marks and TNEA Counselling. The candidate must apply for TNEA Counselling. If the candidates are successfully selected in the counselling process they can take admission in B.Tech Plastics and B.Tech Manufacturing Engineering at CIPET Chennai which is affiliated to Anna University.

There are total 240 seats offered in BTech Plastic Engineering and Manufacturing. The distribution of seats is given in the table below. The candidates are suggested to go through the table.
