SMIT B.Tech Admission 2018 to 4-year Undergraduate Degree Course in Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology. Admission is invited based on the scores obtained in JEE Main 2018, MU OET 2018 and SMIT Offline Test. Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) offers B Tech (4 years course) in six engineering disciplines, M Tech, MCA and MBA. Streams of Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) are:

Academic Qualification for B. Tech

For admission in B.Tech course in Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT), there are certain academic requirements which a candidates must fulfill to get admission. The criteria is different for Class 12 and Diploma Holders. 

Eligibility For Class 12

The applicant must have passed Class 12 or Equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology subjects as optional.

• The candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects. (In case of SC/ST/OBC it should be 45%).
• Candidate appearing in Class 12 or Equivalent upcoming Board Examinations are also eligible provided they send their results to SMIT by fax as soon as the result is declared.

Eligibility for Diploma Holders

• Candidate with a diploma in the appropriate branch of engineering awarded by a State Board of Technical Education.
• The candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks. (In case of SC/ ST/ OBC it should be 45%)

SMIT B.Tech. Admission 2018 - Online Application Form

The first ever mode to apply for the SMIT B.Tech Admission is online in which the candidates can fill the application form by following the link below. The candidates have to further sign in using the provided application number and password in order to fill the online application. The candidates further have to upload the photo and signature to upload (.jpg format only with maximum file size 200 KB, 200 px X 200 px).

SMIT B.Tech. Admission 2018 - Offline Application Form

Another mode of filling the SMIT B.Tech Application Form is through offline. In this mode, the candidates can download the application form by following the link given below and submit the same to the authority along with the Application Fee. Submission of the Application form

The candidates who are filling the form through online mode can make the payment through online mode and submit the same. However, those who are filling the form through offline mode or paying the fee through Demand Draft have to submit the duly filled in Application Form along with Demand Draft.

The form has to be submitted at the following address either via speed post/ registered post before 21 April 2018. The demand draft should be drawn in favour of ''Gangtok' payable at Sikkim Manipal University.

SMIT 2018 Admit Card

SMIT admit card 2018 will be sent by post to the address mentioned in the application form. The candidates who don't get the SMIT admit card can report to the test centre with fee payment receipt/ challan and a photocopy of the application form. SMIT representatives will issue the hall ticket on the spot.

Application Fee: The candidates who are going to fill an online application form SMIT have to make payment of the application. The application fee is Rs.800

SMIT Annual Fee Structure 2018 for B.Tech

NOTE: In addition to the Course fee, the candidates also have to pay Registration fee, Examination Fee and Caution Deposit at the time of admission -

• Registration Fee - Rs. 1,000
• Examination Fee - Rs. 3,000
• Caution Deposit  - Rs. 5,000

• Admissions will be solely done on the basis of merit in the UET, subject to fulfilling of eligibility requirements and availability of seats in the particular Course for which the candidate has applied for.
• Merit List will be prepared.
• Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend the counselling as per the specified schedule at:

SMIT B.Tech Scholarships 

• The first 15 candidates who score more than 90% marks in PCM at Class 12 level (subject to no students available within first 50000 all India rank in JEE)
• The first 15 candidates admitted under MU OET 2018 category having the rank within 1000.

Fee concession and fee waiver schemes: 75% concession in tuition fees is given to students sponsored by Government of Sikkim.
