About DU BHMS Admission

Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College BHMS admissions for the academic session 2018-19 and admission will be offered on the basis of NEET scores. It is a government college located in Defence Colony, South Delhi and is affiliated to Delhi University. DU BHMS Admission 2018-19

  • Duration of Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery: 5½ years(including Internship Training of 12 months). 4 months internship outside college and eight months internship in Nehru Homoeopathic hospital itself.
  • The students are required to complete 12 months Internship Training for BHMS Course before the award of the degree.
  • 85% Seats are reserved for the candidates who have passed their Class 11 and 12 from the schools located in the NCT of Delhi. Remaining 15% seats are filled on all India Basis.
  • Medium: English will be the medium of instruction and examination for BHMS Degree Course

DU BHMS Admission Eligibility criteria

The admission is open to students from all over India as well as to the foreign nationals. The academic qualifications and the age criteria required for the admission in Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College for the BHMS admission are given below.

Age: Candidate must have attained or shall attain the age of 17 years as on 31 December 2018.

Academic Qualifications

  • For 85% Delhi Quota Seats: Candidates must have passed Class 12 Examination candidates from Intermediate/Senior School Certificate Examination (CBSE)/Indian School Certificate Examination or any other equivalent Examination recognized by the University of Delhi.
  • For 15% All India Quota Seats: Candidates must have passed Class 12 Examination from an Indian University/Board or any other equivalent Examination recognized by the University of Delhi
  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have scored 60% or more marks in the aggregate of three subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and has also passed English as one of the subjects.
  • Subjects included in the merit list: While deciding the merit the marks obtained in English will not be taken into consideration rather only marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology will be considered.
  • Certificate stating passed in Hindi: All the admitted candidates in BHMS Course are required to submit a Certificate that they have passed Class 8 Examination with Hindi.

Qualifying Exam: Admissions will be done on the basis of NEET scores

Although the University accepts the NEET scores for the admission still, the candidates have to fill the online application form. The process of inviting the application will be started from the third week of September 2018 and the candidates can fill the application form on or before the due date.

Steps to Fill the Application Form 2018

The application form for Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College can be filled by following the steps given below. The candidates are suggested to follow the instructions below while filling up the application form.

  • STEP 1: The candidates first need to register themselves through the official website of DU FMSC by following the link given above
  • STEP 2: After successfully registering themselves, the candidates have to fill the application form by providing their personal details, communication details, and other relevant details.
  • STEP 3: The candidates after filling up the application form need to make the payment of the application fee.
  • STEP 4: At last after paying the application fee, the candidates have to submit the Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College application form

The candidates have to send the list of following documents along with the duly filled in application form

  • Class 10 Certificate & Marks Sheet.
  • Class 12 Certificate & Marks Sheet.
  • Separate Certificate of Date of Birth, if it is not shown in the certificate (1) above.
  • Character Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended
  • Passing Hindi Certificate Marks Sheet for all candidates up to 8th standard
  • Certificate of SC/ST/PH (if applicable).
  • Entitlement Certificate for Defence Personnel (if applicable).
  • OBC Certificate (NonCreamy Layer), (if applicable) – Two Copy

Candidates are advised to fill the required details in every section of the form and check the details of the application form before the final submission because once the application gets submitted then the candidates will not be able to do any changes.
