Jaypee B.Tech Admission 2018 via JEE Main - Application Started!

Jaypee B.Tech Admission 2018 will be offered on the basis of All India JEE Main Rank of Joint Entrance Examination 2018 (JEE Main 2018) in four institutes and on the basis of JEE Main Score. Therefore, the candidates who wish to take admission in B.Tech Degree Course in any one of the colleges enlisted above should have appeared in JEE Main 2018. Candidates with Biology/Biotechnology, Physics and Maths can apply for both options (i.e. JEE based admissions or Bio-based admissions class 12) by filling different applications as per respective mode of entry. Jaiprakash Sewa Sansthan sponsors four institutes. All these four institutes also offer admission to few courses for limited seats on the basis of Class 12 marks. The names of the institutes are given below:

Jaypee B.Tech Admission 2018 Dates

Age Limit: Candidates who are born on or after 1 October 1997 are eligible for admission to B.Tech programme offered by Jaypee Institute.

Academic Qualifications:

The academic qualification is given below except for Biology / Biotechnology based admission to Biotechnology and Bioinformatics programs. The candidates are required to check the academic qualification required to apply for Jaypee B.Tech admission.

• Minimum academic qualification for admission to any one of the programs is as laid down by JEE.
• Candidate must have passed Class 12 or its equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, and Computer Science as optional subjects.

• In Class 12 examination, the candidate should have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry or Computer Science in the year 2016 to 2018.
• Candidates who will be offered provisional admission are required to submit the proof of having passed the Class 12 or equivalent examination to the University authority by 30 September 2018.

The application process for the admission in Jaypee B.Tech programme is started on 12 March 2018 and the candidates need to fill the application form. The candidates can apply to the B.Tech Program in Jaypee via online and offline modes. Offline candidates can download the application form from the below link or can avail the Brochure with the application form by post/ campus. Offline Mode:

• Candidates can purchase the application form and brochure from any of the four campuses by cash payment of the required fee or by sending a bank draft of same to JIIT drawn in favor of "Jaypee Institutes Admissions Account", payable at Noida/Delhi.
• Candidates can also obtain the Jaypee application form and brochure from selected bank branches of IDBI (56 branches all over India) and PNB (6 branches in Himachal Pradesh only)

Online Mode:

• Candidates can visit the official website of to fill up the application and make the payment through credit/debit card/net banking or through Demand Draft.
• The Demand Draft (DD) should be of the required application fee which would be drawn in favor of “Jaypee Institutes Admissions Account” payable at Noida/Delhi.

For Jaypee University, Anoopshahr:

For the Jaypee University Anoopshahr, the registration/ application process remains same if applying through JEE Main.

• But if in case applying under 10+2 marks scheme candidates have to fill a separate application form.
• Candidates are advised to fill in both the applications and send them back in the separate envelopes. The 10+2 envelopes should be marked “10+2 Application for JU-Anoopshahr”.

Important Points related to Jaypee BTech Application Form

• On successful payment of application fee, candidates will be allotted an Application ID number, which must be saved for future reference.
• For attaching/uploading the photograph, candidates can take a printout with photo affixed on the online application.
• In case you are not able to upload the photograph, then you should take a printout and affix recent colored passport size photograph on the printout and then send it
• Do not send the application without ID number which would have been generated
• Write “ONLINE REGISTRATION-INTERNET BANKING” on the envelope before posting.
• It is mandatory to fill JEE 2018 Roll number and application form number before submission of Application

Submission of Application Form

Candidates need to post the hard copy of the application to Registrar JIIT whether the application form is filled through Online or Offline mode. After the successful submission of the application form, the candidates shall be able to see the receipt details of their applications and essential data on the website only after 15-20 days of submission of the form thereafter.

The application fee for the Jaypee B.Tech admission is Rs. 1,200. The candidates can pay Cash/Speed Post or through Debit Card/Credit Card/ Net Banking or Demand Draft. Demand Draft must be sent to JIIT favoring Jaypee Admissions Account, payable at Noida/Delhi

Jaypee B.Tech Fee Structure 2018

The final list of selected candidates at Jaypee Guna will be declared by the Jaypee Institute. After the declaration of the result, the counselling process will take place. A total of 1046 candidates has been shortlisted for the counselling and final allotment of the seats.

Jaypee B.Tech Counselling Process

• A combined counseling for JIIT-Noida, JUIT-Waknaghat, JU-Guna & JU-Anoopshahr will be conducted from 1 to 3 July 2018 at JIIT Sector 62 Noida only.
• Candidates shall be allowed to exercise choice of only one institute at the time of counseling
• Candidates shall be allowed to exercise Choice for maximum of four (4) programs whether as a selected or waitlisted candidate within the Institute of choice

Invitation for Counselling

• Invitation letter forcounselling will be sent or made available via following ways:
  • Details including dates and venues shall be uploaded on the website
  • Candidates will also be intimated via written communication in the form of an email
  • If in case the candidate does not receive the written communication for counselling then also they must appear for counselling on the date notified.

Jaypee B.Tech Admission 2018 Selection Process

Candidates will be offered admission on the basis of All India Rank in JEE Main and on the basis of merit list thus prepared. Candidates shall be considered for meriting process if they meet the below-mentioned criteria:

• Who apply in the prescribed OMR based application form / apply online?
• Whose applications are found valid?
• The applications are received before the due date.
• Who fulfil the eligibility criteria?

How will the Jaypee Merit Lists be drawn?

• The merit list will be drawn on the basis of the applications received for admission to Jaypee Institute(s) only on the overall All India Rank of JEE (Main) examination.
• JEE Score /Ranking in any category or state including general etc shall not be taken into account.
• The merit list for SC/ST candidates and those belonging to the state of J&K shall be made by giving a relaxation of 10% below the total marks obtained by the candidate in General Category.

For Jaypee University, Anoopshahr (Class 12 Merit)

Merit list will be drawn on the basis of three subjects namely Physics & Mathematics; the third subject may be one out of- Chemistry, Computer Sciences, Informatics Practices, Multimedia & Web technology, Engineering Drawing, Engineering Graphics & English

The cutoff percentage for the Merit shall be decided by the Admission committee.

When will be the Merit List Displayed?

• To know about the Merit List and counseling schedule candidates can visit the official website within 4 Days of the declaration of Rank of JEE Main
• The position obtained by the candidate in the Merit lists shall be loaded on the websites for all candidates whose applications are found valid.

Seat Allocation

• Seats will be allotted on the basis of preferences indicated at the time of counseling, strictly in order of merit drawn based on overall All India Rank of JEE Main 2018.
• For the Biotechnology and Bioinformatics programs, 50% of seats shall be allotted through JEE 2018 merit and 50% through the merit of Class 12 or equivalent exam.

The admission in Jaypee Institute for the B.Tech programme is done through JEE Main scores. Therefore, the candidates need to know the JEE Main exam pattern. The candidates will have to face the negative marking scheme in the JEE Main Exam.

Availability of seats in Jaypee Institutes for B.Tech programme

• For Jaypee University Anoopshahr, the 50% seats in all streams are available to candidates based on Class 12 merit. The candidates are advised to apply on or before the due date.
• For JIIT Noida & JUIT Waknaghat, the 50% seats only in B.Tech Biotechnology will be filled through 10+2 merit.
• For JUIT, the 10% seats reserved for candidates who have passed class 12 from 
  Himachal Pradesh.
