MHT CET Merit list 2018 – Tie-breaking method
While preparing the merit list the admission committee will face some situations where two or more candidates will be scoring the same scores. Facing these problems, the committee will break the tie by following these methods. The tie-breaking methods are:
- Candidates who will score highest marks in Mathematics will be given higher rank
- Or the candidate scoring highest marks in Chemistry will be given higher rank
- The committee will allot the higher rank to the candidate who have done least number of negative responses
- Applicants with higher aggregate percentage marks will be allotted the better rank
- If the tie persist then the candidate who is senior in age will be provided the higher rank
