About CENTA TPO

Often we come across students crunching numbers and participating in several Olympiads. But this time, teachers will be seen answering challenging questions at a different kind of Olympiad called as the Teacher Professionals' Olympiad. The teachers will be rewarded for their competencies. Primarily it is for the school teachers or people entering this profession but any graduate applicant can appear in this Olympiad to understand their competency for Teaching.

  • TPO is quite different from the tests teachers take for regulatory requirements and it will be a 2 hours computer based test and registration fees of TPO single test track are Rs. 450.
  • Centre for Teacher Accreditation (CENTA) which acts as a catalyst in creating the path and opportunities for teachers is organising a first-of-its-kind national competition for teachers CENTA Teaching Professionals’ Olympiad (TPO) 2016 which is presented by The Hindu.
    • Olympiad will be based on the CENTA draft teacher standards
    • The Hindu and Michael and Susan Dell Foundation are the primary partners for TPO 2016 and Varkey Foundation, HT Parekh foundation and Central square foundation are additional supporters.
