Department of Education in languages under the aegis of NCERT is organizing a Sanskrit week as part of its celebration between August 26 and September 1, 2015. In the circular issued, the NCERT will be organizing Three Days workshop on Sanskrit Studies and enhancement of its teaching skills, competitions for school students and many other programs with an objective to bring out the significance of the language among the students. The objective of organizing the week will focus on emphasizing the use of Sanskrit language and promoting it amongst the school fraternity.
NCERT is planning to celebrate the week in such a manner so that teachers, schools, students and who so ever want to be part of it can get a platform to share their knowledge or views about Sanskrit Language.
The long week celebration would bring awareness, importance and interest about the language and would highlight the connection between India’s rich heritage and the Sanskrit language. Last year CBSE directed the schools to Sanskrit week from August 7 to 13, 2015.
