KVPY Interview for the selected candidates is likely to held from 15 January to 20 February 2018. KVPY 2017 result for the written test was announced on 22 December 2017 around 3 thousand students are selected for the interview round and out of them, 551 students were from Allen Career Institute. KVPY is Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, in order to fuel the research in the area of basic science, engineering and medicine. It is administrated by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. It was started back in 1999 to encourage the students to contribute in the research field.
The first round (written test) of KVPY tested aptitude knowledge of the students. The candidates who have qualified in written test will be further invited for the interview round and the final result will be announced in last week of March 2018.
What the director of ALLEN Career Institute has to say?
The director of Allen Career Institute, Sh. Brajesh Maheshwari proudly stated that 551 students are shortlisted for the interview round. Earlier, in the first round, the students were examined on their holistic and scholastic levels. However, in the next round, the basic science knowledge and innovation among these students will be judged by the pre-selected Major Scientist. Moreover, the pre-decided panel will judge the Basic Science Knowledge and Innovation among these students.
Fellowship Amount to be distributed among KVPY Winners
- The first stage of the KVPY exam was held on 5 and 19 November 2017 and the students have got selected based on the cut off marks. Selected students will get the fellowships after their 12th for B.Sc, B. S., B. Stat, B. Math, M.Sc. or MS till Pre-PhD level.
- The monthly stipend of Rs. 5000 along with Rs. 20000 for the yearly fellowship is provided to the selected students for B.Sc, B.Math & B.S. and after this for M.Sc. & M.S. the amount of monthly stipend is Rs. 7000 and yearly fellowship amount is Rs. 28000.

It is a wonderful opportunity for the students who want their involvement in various new research in engineering, medicine and science. In 2015-16 sessions, more than one lakh students participated in this competition. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana has two rounds for all the candidates to be cleared.
- Round 1 - Aptitude Test - In the first round, the candidates have to go through the written which basically test their holistic and scholastic level knowledge. It has 75% of weightage in the selection process.
- Round 2 - Interview - Second round is interview based in which the innovation mind and basic knowledge of science among students get judged. It has 25% of weightage in the selection process.
