Changes in TISSNET: As per the latest updates, there are few changes to be introduced in the TISSNET Exam Pattern and Selection Process conducted by Tata Institute of Social Science(TISS), Mumbai. TISS is recognised as a deemed University by UGC, offers various programmes in different streams such as hospital administration, health, management, research methodology, MA in Human Resource and its labour relation, etc.The TISSNET entrance test will be held on January 7, 2017, and the result will be declared on January 27, 2017.
New Changes introduced in TISSNET
The exam conducting body has made some changes which will be followed for 2017-18 academic session and are mentioned below:
- TISS National Entrance Test will not have any negative marking in any test including the one for MA in HRM from now onwards.
- There will be single question paper for both the candidates who have applied for the single and the multiple programmes including MA in HRM and 55 other Masters programme. There will be a single question paper of 100 questions which has to be attempted in 100 minutes.
- General awareness paper will consist total 40 marks; maths & logical reasoning will carry 30 marks.
- This time the weights assigned to TISSNET PIT & PI for the preparation of final merit list for all category candidates has been revised by TISS and the revised weights are as follows. The revised weightage would be the final weightage that would be allotted for the final selection of the candidates

All the TISSNET aspirants must go through the test pattern before their test exam preparation. The syllabus and exam pattern is prescribed by TISS every year. The total duration of the TISSNET examination test is 1 hour 40 minutes and total 100 multiple choice objective questions with three sections will be asked in the examination. TISSNET syllabus for the exam held in 2017 includes English proficiency, analytical ability, general awareness and logical reasoning.
