Tamil Nadu MBBS BDS Result 2017 will be declared in the form of a Merit List/ Selection List in the month of June 2017. Tamil Nadu MBBS BDS Result 2017 are for students who have applied for MBBS and BDS admissions in the Medical and Dental Colleges across the Tamil Nadu.

  • The declared merit list will be based on the marks secured by the candidate in class 12.

A merit list of the selected candidates will be prepared by the council and will be published on June 2017. The candidates who had appeared in entrance test can check their Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS result 2017 on this page as well. It is to be noted that the results will not be informed individually.

In Case of a tie: In cases, where two or more candidates obtain equal aggregate marks for 200, the rank of such candidates will be determined on the basis of the following order.

  • Percentage in Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together in +2 examination
  • Percentage in Chemistry in +2 examination
  • Percentage in Fourth optional subject in +2 examination
  • Date of birth, the weightage given to seniority in age.
  • The computerized random number assigned. The higher value of random number will be taken into consideration.

Tamil Nadu MBBS BDS Counselling 2017

The counseling for MBBS and BDS will be conducted on June 21, 2017, and on June 20, 2017, for the special category. The detailed counseling Schedule will be available on the website. However, the candidates who do not receive the call letter on time must download it from the website attend the counseling session as per schedule and as per their merit. 

Others: June 21 to June 25procedure will commence from dates given below candidate will be called for counseling as per their merit and they may exercise their option as per their eligibility norms.

Counseling process: There are certain rules for the counseling process that every candidate must know:

  • Counseling for the Special Categories will be done before the General Category.
  • There will be no reallotment /change of college allotted for the Special Category.
  • A candidate who is absent during the 1st phase of counseling cannot attend the 2nd phase of Counselling.
  • Due to any reason, if the candidate cannot attend the counseling on scheduled date they can authorize their single guardian/parent to attend the counseling procedure, the decision of parents/guardian will be marked final.
  • Re-allotment will be made only for those who have joined the course within the stipulated time.
  • Re-allotment is not a matter of right of the candidate. Re-allotment will be done only through counseling on merit basis following the communal reservation if vacancies are available. If sufficient time is not available vacancies will be filled up with the candidates from the waiting list on merit basis only.
  • The vacancies due to not joined seats in State Quota or surrender of All India quota seats or newly sanctioned seats arising after the first phase of counseling will be filled by re-allotment as per merit and communal reservation for the already allotted and joined candidates.
