Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences Lucknow also known as SGPGI offers 4 year’s full-time undergraduate program BSc Nursing for the candidates who are passed in class 12 examination from any recognised school in India. SGPGI BSc Nursing Admission 2017 Eligibility criteria

Age: The candidates should be aged between 17 years to 24 years old on 31 December 2017.

Educational Qualification: 

  • The Candidates must be passed in class 12 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects from a recognised school in India.
  • The candidates should have secured minimum 50% marks in the above-mentioned subjects and the candidates belonging to reserved category are required to secure at least 45% marks in the above-mentioned subjects.

Others: Only the unmarried candidates who are medically fit eligible to apply for SGPGI Admissions 2017. The candidates selected in the merit list will be required to submit a certificate of physical fitness from the medical board of the Institute in support of medical fitness requirement.

The candidates can fill and submit the application form only through online mode by following the link given on this page. The candidates have to download the information brochure by clicking the link given on this page and have to follow the instruction given in it while filling the application form.

Instructions regarding SGPGI Application Form

  • Before filling the online application form, the candidates are required to make payment of the application fee. The candidates have to pay the application fee online latest by 23 August 2017.
  • To make payment of the application fee, the candidates can use net banking, credit card or debit card or through a computer-generated challan form in any branch of State Bank of India.
  • After making payment, the candidates will be able to fill and submit the application form online. The application form will be available only after a gap of one working day. The institute will inform through SMS or email to the students who have paid the application fee.
  • Now the candidates have to fill the online application form by entering the basic personal details, educational details, contact details, address etc.
  • The candidates have to now upload their latest passport size colour photograph in jpeg format.
  • Now the candidates have to review the filled application form and submit it by selecting the option given there.

Submission of the Application Form


The candidates after filling the application form have to make the payment of the application fee. After making payment of the application form and filling the online application form, the candidates have to take a print out of the completed application form and sign at the required places. Thereafter, the candidates have to send it along with along with self-attested documents in support of age, qualifications, domicile and caste to the following address:

SGPGI BSc Nursing Admissions Admit Card 2017


The candidates who have successfully submitted the SGPGI Admissions application form under the deadline will only be able to download the admit card. The candidates can download the admit card for BSC Nursing SGPGI Admission from 31 August 2017 onwards.

The candidates can download their admit card by entering their date of birth and registration number. The candidates should know that the admit card will not be sent via post, the candidates can download it only through online mode.

SGPGI BSc Nursing Admission 2017 Fees

The candidates want to submit SGPGI Admissions application form will have to pay Rs 1,000 (including transaction charges) through the online and offline mode of payment.

  • The students have to pay Mess fee and Bus fee on monthly basis.
  • The candidates have to pay supplementary and Re-evaluation fee (if applicable) of Rs 500 and Rs 400 respectively. The candidates also have to pay the scrutiny fee of Rs 600.

SGPGI BSc Nursing Admission 2017 Result and Counselling

The candidates will be selected for admission in BSc Nursing program offered at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences strictly on the basis of entrance examination which was held on 3 September 2017. SGPGI Counselling process has started and the candidates who have been selected to appear in the counselling should report on the said date. The counselling will take place in the mini auditorium. The list of the candidates who have been selected to appear in the counselling is given below. Although, those who find absent beyond 4 September 2017 (11:00 AM) will not be liable for seat allotment.
