• B.A (Hons) Economics is being taught at Department of Economics under the Faculty of Social Sciences with 50 students enrolled every year. B.Com (Hons) and BBA are being taught at Department of Commerce and Business Administration under the Faculty of Social Sciences with 50 and 40 students enrolled every year.
• The Department of Economics is one of the oldest Departments under the Faculty of Social Sciences. The Department of Commerce and Business Administration was established in 1985.

Age Limit: The age of the candidates should be 21 years as on July 1 of the year of admission.

The candidates whose results for the qualifying examinations have not been declared can also apply. 

Academic Qualification:

• For B.A. Economics (H) and BBA: Candidate should have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the best five subjects

• For B. Com (Hons): Candidate should have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the best five subjects or in the subject concerned.

Minimum Qualifying Marks: For admission to Jamia Millia Islamia candidates must have passed Class 12 /Sr. Sec. School Certificate/ or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised Board.

• Through Online Mode: The first mode to make the payment of the application fee is through online mode in which the candidates can pay the application fee by Credit Cards/ Debit Cards/ Net Banking.
• Through Offline Mode: The second mode of paying the application fee through offline which the candidates can pay using Cash Challans of either Indian Bank or Bank of India payable at any branch of the respective Banks

Submission of the Application Form

JMI B. Com (H)/ BBA/ B.A Economics (H) Admit Card will be available only for those eligible candidates who have submitted their duly filled application forms before the due date. It is to be noticed that the admit card will not be dispatched through the post to the candidates, so no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. 

The candidates need to know that an admit card is an important document to be carried at the exam centre. Otherwise, the entry of the candidates might get restricted at the examination centre.

JMI B.Com (H)/ BBA and B.A Economics (H) Fee 2018

Admission Fees shall be accepted by JMI through cash, online or Demand Draft.

• Cash Mode: Fees in Cash may be deposited at JMI branches of either Indian Bank or Bank of India
• Online Mode: Candidates can pay the Application Fee through Net Banking, Credit Cards & Debit Cards.
• Demand Draft: Candidates can also be deposit Admission Fee through Demand Draft payable at New Delhi which will be drawn in favour of “The Registrar, Jamia Millia Islamia."

The University shall prepare the merit list of candidates in various programs. JMI B. Com (Hons)/ B.A Economics (Hons)/ Bachelor of Business Administration Merit List will be published between 25 to 30 June 2018

• The list of candidates selected for interview, wherever applicable, shall be displayed in ascending order of their Entrance Test Roll No. and will be displayed on the Notice Board of the Faculty/ Department/Centre concerned as well as on Jamia’s website
• JMI may display additional lists of candidates selected from the waiting list in order of merit as per the University procedure.

• Duration of the Exam: 1 Hour 45 Minutes
• Medium of Exam will be English
• Mode of Exam- Pen and Paper Mode. The candidates appearing in the entrance exam have to mark the answer with Black/Blue Ball Pen Only.
• The Exam will be for 100 Marks.
  
• Negative Marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the Objective Type/ Multiple Choice Questions
