About NPAT BBA, BCom Admission

NPAT 2017 BBA/B.Com and B.Sc Finance admission are done on the basis of NPAT which is commonly known as NMIMS Programmes After Twelfth. The NPAT 2017 will be conducted on 13 & 14 May 2017. NPAT 2017 is an undergraduate entrance test conducted for admission to Undergraduate & Integrated Degree Program offered by Narsee Monjee College. Once the candidate qualifies the exam, they will get admission in schools of NMIMS Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce (ASMSC) at Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Bengaluru and Indore Campuses. Through NPAT, the candidate gets admission in the following courses mentioned below. However, the candidates need to know that BBA MMS is a 5 years dual degree program which provides an opportunity to the students to pursue MMS Program after completion of their BBA Program. This course is only available in Mumbai Campus.

NPAT BBA, BCom Admission Eligibility criteria

Academic Qualification: Candidate must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam including international IB Diploma (IB certificate awarded is not eligible) in any stream from a recognised Board at the first attempt with Mathematics/ Statistics as a compulsory subject.

  • Candidates appearing for their final Class 12 or equivalent examination can also apply provided they should obtain the required minimum cut off marks

Minimum Qualifying Marks

  • For BBA: Candidate should have secured 60% aggregate marks for being eligible to B.B.A Program.Candidate with IB Diploma applying for B.B.A is eligible only if they have passed in Mathematics/ Statistics minimum at standard level
  • For B.Com (Hons): candidates should have secured 50% aggregate marks.  
  • For BBA MMS: At the end of 2nd year of BBA, the top 120 students who meet the eligibility criteria will be offered admissions to enrol for the MMS Program from 3rd year of the BBA program.

Not Eligible to apply for the course

  • Candidates who have passed the 10+2 exam by doing a part-time course or through distance learning/correspondence/externally/open school are not eligible to apply for the courses.
  • Candidate passed with compartment is not eligible. Candidates should present single mark sheet.
  • Candidates above 25 years of age are restricted to apply for undergraduate programs.

Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies has released the notification and the important dates. To apply for NPAT, the candidate has to first register and then fill the application form available.

Steps to fill NPAT Application 2017 Application Form

Step 1 Register: The candidates need to register themselves by entering their name, DOB, email and contact address.

Step 2 Login: After successful registration, a registration id and Password will be generated and will be sent to the email id of the candidates through which the candidates can login further.

Step 3: In this stage the candidates must fill their academic qualification, course applied, test centre, address and the school he/she is applying for.

Step 4 Uploading Images: The candidates needs to upload their recent passport size photograph in the online application form. 

NPAT 2017 Application Form Submission

The duly filled in NPAT 2017 Application Form needs to be submitted online by the candidates and the candidates must verify the details entered by them in the online application form, because once the form has been submitted the candidates will not be able to make any changes. 

Candidates are not required to send any hard copy of the confirmation page or any other document to the registered office. However, they are advised to take a print-out of the NPAT Application Form.

NPAT 2017 Admit Card

NPAT Admit Card is expected to be available from 8 May 2017 on the official website only for those eligible candidates who have submitted their duly filled application forms before the due date. The candidate must also carry any one of the following requisite original ID proof along with a photocopy of the same while appearing for NPAT 2017.

  • Aadhar Card
  • Driving License (Learner License is not allowed)

Candidates need to know that no admit card will not be dispatched through the post to the candidates, so no correspondence in this regard will be considered. Admit Card is an important document to be carried at the exam centre.

ASMSC Refund of Fees

Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce also have the provision of refunding the fees for the candidates admitted in its College under the following circumstances which are mentioned in the table below:

If the intimation of cancellation of the seats is received at least 7 days before the Commencement of the programme that is 2 July 2017 100% of the fees less processing charges (Rs. 10,000)
If the intimation of the cancellation of the seats is received within six days before the Commencement and upt 30 days after the course commencement of the programme that is 3 July 2017 to 8 August 2017 If seat is filed up by another candidate within 30 days of course commencement - 100% of the fees less processing charges (Rs.10,000/-)
If seat is not filed up by another candidate within 30 days of course commencement - 50% of the fees less processing charges (Rs.10,000/-)

 

If a student joins the Institutions, and then leaves it in mid-session then the entire fees collected shall be forfeited

NPAT Selection Process


Desirous candidates who wish to take admission in BBA/B.Com (Hons.) /B.Sc. (Finance) The program will be required to appear for online Test to be conducted at various locations in India.

  • NPAT final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in NPAT 2017.
  • The selection will be solely based on merit and preference given by the candidate for all programs The cut-off for deciding the merit shall lie solely with NMIMS.

NPAT BBA, BCom Admission Exam pattern

  • Duration of Exam: 120 minutes
  • Type of Exam: Type and difficulty level of questions in NPAT 2017 will be on SAT Pattern. It will be an online objective type multiple-choice test. There will be no descriptive type of questions
  • Negative Marking: For each Question with a wrong answer 1/4th of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted as penalty.

As per the standard practice, the scores across various sessions will be equated to adjust for slight differences in the difficulty level of different test items used across sessions.

Guidelines from NMIMS for Physically Challenged Candidates

Physically challenged candidates who wish to take assistant for NPAT 2017 must mention this at the time of Registration. Candidate will have to email the scanned copy of his/her 'Disability Certificate' along with NPAT 2017 ID and name to 2017npat@gmail.com. 

As per Person with Disability Act of India, physically challenged will include the following:
