Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) Engineering, B.Arch Admission 2018

Jamia Millia Islamia Engineering Admission 2018 notification will be released by Jamia Islamia on its official website. From the last year, JMI EEE is not conducted for admission in Engineering and B.Tech admission and rather the admission is made based on JEE Main Score. The Admission to B. Tech. & B. Arch. programmes for the session 2018-19 at Jamia Millia Islamia will be based on the scores of JEE Main 2018 which is conducted by CBSE. Hence JMI EEE will not be conducted by the university

• In addition to appearing in JEE main 2018 exam, the candidates are required to submit an online admission form of Jamia Millia Islamia from 5 December 2017 to 14 March 2018.
• So, the candidates appearing in JEE Main 2018 and submitting the online admission form of Jamia will ONLY be considered for admission to B. Tech. & B. Arch. programmes.

• Jamia Millia Islamia is a central University in Delhi. It was established in 1920.

JMI Admission 2018 - (For all Courses)

Therefore, all aspiring candidates for admission to Jamia Millia Islamia are required to appear in JEE Main 2018. 

• Candidates seeking admission to JMI’s B.Tech programs must appear in JEE Main 2018 Paper-1 examination.
• Candidates seeking admission to JMI’s B.Arch programs must appear in JEE Main 2018 Paper-2 examination
• Candidates submitting the application for JMI’s B.Tech. as well as B.Arch programs must appear in JEE Main 2018 Paper-1 as well as Paper-2 examination.
• Jamia Millia Islamia University, Delhi is a Central University and offers Undergraduate and Post Graduate Courses in Science, Commerce, Arts for various courses.
• Jamia Millia Islamia Engineering is a 4 years course offered by Jamia Millia Islamia University, Delhi.

For B.Tech. Courses 

Academic Qualification

• Candidates must have passed Class 12 / Intermediate or its equivalent of a recognised Board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as their main subjects. 
• Candidates must have secured not less than 55% marks in PCM.
• Candidates with Diploma in Engineering recognised by AICTE or a state board of technical education of 3 or 4-year duration with not less than 55% marks are also eligible

Age criteria: The age of the candidate should not be less than 17 years on 1st October of the year of admission.

For B.Arch. Course

Academic Qualification

• A candidate who has passed Class 12 Examination and has secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate with Mathematics, English, Physics, and Chemistry as subjects shall be eligible to the first year of the B. Arch. Course, subject to an aptitude test.
• Candidates who have 3-year Diploma (10+3) recognised by Central/State govt. provided that the candidate passed the Diploma with 50% marks in aggregate.

Application form Submission

Candidates are advised not to send hard copy of the application to JMI. However, they are advised to retain the printed copy of the following:

• JEE Main Admit Card 2018
• JMI’s Acknowledgement Slip
• JMI’s Registration Slip
• JEE Main 2018 Score Card.

JMI Application Fees 2018

JMI Application Fee is Rs. 550 + Applicable Bank Charges and it is same for all irrespective of the category to which the candidate belongs to.

Payment of Application Fees

Candidates can pay the JMI EEE Application Fee via two modes:

• Mode 1: Online; Candidates can pay the Application Fee by Credit Cards/Debit Cards/Net Banking
• Mode 2: Offline: Candidates can pay the Application Fee using Cash Challans. In the case of E-Challan, the fee may be paid in any of the branches of Indian Bank. 

Tuition Fees for B.Tech at Jamia Milia University

JMI shall accept admission Fees through cash, online or Demand Draft.

• Cash Mode: Fees in Cash may be deposited at JMI branches of either Indian Bank or Bank of India
• Online Mode: Candidates can pay the Application Fee through Net Banking, Credit Cards & Debit Cards.
• Demand Draft: Candidates can also be deposit Admission Fee through Demand Draft drawn in favour of “The Registrar, Jamia Millia Islamia”, payable at New Delhi.

Admission to B.Tech./B.Arch. Programs of Jamia Millia Islamia for the session 2018-19 will be made based on the performance in JEE Main 2018 Examination to be conducted by CBSE.

• For B.Tech: List of Selected Candidates will be displayed in the first week of July 2018 on JMI’s Website & Notice Board, Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Technology 
  • Commencement of Admission Formalities: Second week of July 2018
• For B.Arch: List of Selected Candidates will be displayed in the second week of July 2018, on JMI’s Website & Notice Board, Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Technology 
• Commencement of Admission Formalities: Third week of July 2018

Jamia JEE Main Cut Off

The cut-off list for admission in 2018 at Jamia  Millia Islamia Engineering Courses will be released after the declaration of the list of the selected candidates. In the year 2016, Computer Engineering has the highest cutoff marks followed by Electronics and Communication. The candidates can check cut off 2016 below:
