B.A.(H) Social Science Eligibility criteria

Age

  • The candidates applying for the admission should be 22 years or less as on 1st July 2017.
  • The SC/ST and PC categories candidates will be provided relaxation  of 5 years with the upper age limit 
  • The OBC category candidates will be provided relaxation of 3 years with the upper age limit.

Academic Qualification:

  • The candidates applying for the B.A (Hons) Social Science admission must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam with a minimum 50% marks in total.
  • Candidates appearing for the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.
  • The SC/ST candidates do not require a minimum aggregate percentage of marks in the qualifying examination as they only need to pass the qualifying exam.
  • For OBC and PC candidates, there will be a relaxation of 5% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination.

The B.A (H) Social Science Admission will be done on the basis of BHU UET. BHU UET Admit Card 2017 is expected to be released in the month of April 2017 for some of the UG & PG courses.

B.A.(H) Social Science Result and Counselling

BHU UET 2017 Result for B.A (H) Social Science

 

BHU UET Result for the admission in B.A (H) Social Science is expected to be declared in the month of June 2017. The Banaras Hindu University will prepare merit list according to the result. The selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of merit list prepared. 

  • BHU Score & Marks: The marks obtained by the candidate, the order of overall merit and the all the relevant information related to the BHU score and marks will be sent to the candidate by mail as well as SMS. The candidate can also check the BHU official answer keys and calculate their marks.
  • No Revaluation of BHU Result: Banaras Hindu University will not entertain any request for Re-evaluation or Investigation of the answer sheets at any conditions. Further, no query about the same will be considered. BHU UET Results would be available at the BHU official website.

Admissions will be solely done on the basis of merit in the UET, subject to fulfilling of eligibility requirements and availability of seats in the particular Course for which the candidate has applied for. BHU B.A (H) Social Science Counselling 2017

 

BHU, Banaras Hindu University has announced the BHU Counselling schedule for various courses for the year 2017-18. Check the course wise BHU Counselling 2017 schedule for BHU Admission 2017-18. The Counselling would be held for the following seats (counselling will begin in the month of July 2017).

  • Regular seat in the Main Campus
  • Paid Seat in the BHU Main Campus
  • Seats in the Affiliated Colleges

First of all the regular seats in the main campus will be filled and once they are full then the counselling for the paid seats in the BHU Main Campus is conducted and lastly the seats in the affiliated colleges are filled.

B.A.(H) Social Science Exam pattern

  • Duration of exam: 120 minutes.
  • Total Marks: 450 marks
  • Total No of Questions: 150 MCQ's
  • The language of the exam: English or Hindi. The “Language” part shall consist of two sets of MCQ on Language comprehension for one paper each in Hindi and English so that the candidate is required to answer the questions either in Hindi language or English language but not both.
  • Standard: The standard of the question paper will be of +2 Examination or equivalent.
  • Negative Marking scheme: There is a negative marking in this exam as one mark will be deducted for each wrong answers while the unattempted question will be awarded zero marks
