About Goa CET Medical

  • GOA CET is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa for admissions to the First Year of Professional Degree courses in the State of Goa.
  • Goa Medical college is affiliated to Goa University and offers MBBS as well BDS course and seats are filled on the basis of GOA CET & AIPMT (15% Seats)
  • The Common Entrance Test is applicable for admission to the Government, Government-aided and un-aided colleges in Goa offering Bachelor’s Degree in the fields of Architecture, Dentistry, Engineering, Medicine (Allopathic & Homoeopathy), Pharmacy, Allied Health Sciences and Nursing at Institute of Nursing Education. 
  • Directorate of Technical Education is also authorised to process admissions for following seats: 
    • Direct admissions to Second Year of Degree courses for Diploma and B. Sc. Degree holders.
    • Diploma programmes in the Polytechnics in Goa.

Candidates desirous of seeking admissions to Professional Degree courses during the academic session 2016-2017 are required to fill a Common Application form of GCET 2016.

  • Candidates are required to pay an Application Fee of Rs 1500.
  • Demand Draft: The GCET 2016 Application Fee has to be paid via demand draft drawn in favour of “Director of Technical Education” at Panaji – Goa, on any Scheduled Bank.

Goa CET Medical Result and Counselling

GCET 2016 Selection Process

  • GCET 2016 Results are expected to be declared on May 18, 2016.
  • The candidate must have appeared and obtained valid score at the Goa Common Entrance Test GCET conducted by Government of Goa for the year of admission.
  • For Medicine and Dentistry Degree courses, minimum GCET score should be 50% (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC and 45% for applicants belonging to PH category.)

  • Total Questions: 75
  • Duration: 2  hours
  • Each question shall have four choices for answers, out of which only one shall be correct.
  • Correct answer shall carry one mark for each question
  • Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking for wrong/multiple answers.
