About Goa CET Medical

GOA CET is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE Goa), Government of Goa for admissions to the First Year of Professional Degree courses in the State of Goa. Goa Medical college is affiliated to Goa University and offers MBBS as well BDS course and seats are filled on the basis of GOA CET & AIPMT (15% Seats)

  • The Common Entrance Test is applicable for admission to the Government, Government-aided and un-aided colleges in Goa offering Bachelor’s Degree in the fields of Architecture, Dentistry, Engineering, Medicine (Allopathic & Homoeopathy), Pharmacy, Allied Health Sciences and Nursing at Institute of Nursing Education. 
  • Directorate of Technical Education is also authorised to process admissions for following seats: 
    • Direct admissions to Second Year of Degree courses for Diploma and B. Sc. Degree holders.
    • Diploma programmes in the Polytechnics in Goa.

Goa CET Medical Eligibility criteria

Candidates seeking admission to Professional Degree courses like B.Tech, B.Arch, B.E., B.Pharm, BHMS, BAMS, Allied Health Sciences, & B.Sc. in Nursing have to fulfil certain eligibility criteria only then will they be offered admission into the engineering, architecture & medical colleges.

Candidates desirous of seeking admissions to Professional Degree courses during the academic session 2016-2017 are required to fill a Common Application form of GCET 2016.

Candidates appearing in the CET Exam will have to an Application Fee of Rs 1500 at the time of the submission of the GCET Goa Application Form. The Application Fee is to be paid via demand draft drawn in favour of “Director of Technical Education” at Panaji – Goa, on any Scheduled Bank. Goa CET Medical Result and Counselling

  • GCET 2016 Results are expected to be declared on May 18, 2016.
  • The candidate must have appeared and obtained valid score at the Goa Common Entrance Test GCET conducted by Government of Goa for the year of admission.
  • For Medicine and Dentistry Degree courses, minimum GCET score should be 50% (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC and 45% for applicants belonging to PH category.)

Goa CET Medical Exam pattern

  • Total Questions: 75
  • Duration: 2  hours
  • Each question shall have four choices for answers, out of which only one shall be correct.
  • Correct answer shall carry one mark for each question
  • Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking for wrong/multiple answers.
