About DTE Maharashtra Architecture Admission

DTE Maharashtra Architecture Admission 2018 to First Year Degree will be done via Centralised Admission Process (CAP). The aspiring candidates are hereby informed to fill the CAP Application Forms are available for Architecture Courses. Centralised Admission Process is being conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, M.S., Mumbai in the State of Maharashtra. The admission in DTE Maharashtra for the B.Arch course will be done on the basis of NATA scores. This page gives the complete information on DTE Maharashtra Architecture Admission which includes the application process, selection process etc.

Latest Update: The applications for the NATA 2018 has started from 18 January 2018 and the candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the CAP Counselling. candidates are required to apply for NATA Exam on or before 2 March 2018.

DTE Maharashtra Architecture Admission Eligibility criteria

Nationality: Candidate should be an Indian National. The candidates belonging to Maharashtra, All India Candidature Candidate, Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidate are eligible to apply.

Academic Qualifications: Candidate should have passed Class 12 examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subject Mathematics.

OR

  • The candidate can also have passed the 10+3 Full-time Diploma (any stream) examination recognised by AICTE/Central/State Government or its equivalent examination.
  • Candidate should have secured minimum 50% marks in aggregate. (45% marks in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra state only). [Applicable to both Diploma and Class 12]

Qualifying Exam: Candidate should have obtained minimum 40% marks i.e. 80 marks out of 200 at NATA 2018 conducted by the Council of Architecture. 

Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National:

The candidate must have Class 12 exam from a recognised Board or its equivalent exam with Mathematics and obtained at least aggregate 50% marks. 

OR

Candidate should have passed full-time Diploma (10+3) examination recognized by All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government or its equivalent examination and obtained a minimum of aggregate 50% marks. 

DTE Maharashtra Architecture Admission Application form and Admit Card

To participate in Centralised Admission Process (CAP), the eligible candidates have to fill Online Application Form for CAP. The Facilitation Centre will facilitate the candidate in complete CAP Application Process ranging from filling the Online Application Form, scanning the documents to uploading the required documents without any charges.

The candidates can also fill the Online Application Form and upload the scanned copies of the required documents through any computer connected to the internet from home, cyber cafe. After filling the application form candidate will have to personally visit the Facilitation Centre for Confirmation of Online Application Form and Document Verification.

Candidate's following NATA Details for Academic Year 2018-19 will be required while filling the application;

  • NATA Seat No Seat Number as per NATA Score Card
  • NATA Score Fill the VALID SCORE of NATA
  • NATA Examination Month and Year
  • The Month and Year of the Examination
    held.

DTE Maharashtra B.Arch Facilitation Centres (FC)


The candidates can also submit their online application form at the facilitation center itself. The candidates can also use the service of the facilitation center to submit the online option form for CAP Rounds, however, it is not mandatory for the candidates.

It is to be noted that the applications registered online/verified & confirmed at FC after 2nd week of June 2018 will be considered only for Non-CAP Seats. All the candidates will have to visit the facilitation center for document verification, the scanning, and uploading of the documents. This verification will be done as per the list of documents mentioned in the application form.

  • Class 10 and 12/ Diploma Mark sheets.

Candidate can edit/update the information in his application form before he confirms it at any of the Facilitation Centre. After filling the application form candidate will have to personally visit the Facilitation Centre for Confirmation of Online Application Form and Document Verification.

The CAP Application form has to be submitted Online Only. However, J & K Migrant candidates should send the print of online filled application form & required documents by hand/speed post/courier for verification & confirmation to (Candidates shall write on the envelope “Application of J & K Migrant” for admission to Architecture):

DTE Maharashtra Architecture Admission Fees

The application fee for the DTE Maharashtra B.Arch admission is given category wise. The candidates can find their application fee according to their category and the candidates need to pay the application fee only once. Application Fee has to be paid through Online system only by Internet Payment, Credit Card/ Debit Card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro).

DTE Maharashtra Architecture Admission Result and Counselling

DTE Maharashtra has released the provisional merit status for the candidates for the admission into the Architecture course. The candidates need to enter their application id and Date of Birth. After providing the details, the candidates will be able to check their provisional merit status. The CAP Counselling schedule for the subsequent rounds has been revised and given below.

  • As the DTE Maharashtra offers the admission to the first-year degree via CAP. The participating institutes for the same are given below. Participating Institutes in DTE Maharashtra Architecture Admission through CAP include the following:
  • All Government & Government-Aided  Architecture Colleges, University Departments, Government Autonomous Institutes, and University Managed Institutes.
  • Un-Aided Architecture Colleges which are participating in the common counselling process are:
    • Recognised by the Government of Maharashtra
    • Affiliated to any one of the Non-Agricultural Universities in the State of Maharashtra

DTE Maharashtra Selection Process for B. Arch


The merit list will be prepared by giving equal weightage 50:50 as given below:

  • NATA 2018 Score: The score of NATA obtained by the candidate out of 200 will be converted into marks out of 100
  • Class 12/ Full-time Diploma or its Equivalent examination’s score: Aggregate marks obtained by the candidate in Class 12/ Full-time Diploma or its Equivalent examination will be converted into marks out of 100.

Merit list for NRO/Foreign Candidates:

Merit List for NRI/Foreign Student/OCI/PIO candidate will be prepared on the basis of the higher percentage of marks at Class 12 or its equivalent. If two candidates scored the same them the tie will be resolved in the following manner:

  • The higher percentage of marks in Mathematics at SSC.
  • The higher percentage of aggregate marks in SSC.

BArch CAP Schedule 2018 for Additional Rounds

 

  • The candidates can fill the Options for Allotment in Separate Admission Round from the month of August 2018.
  • Provisional Allotment of Separate Admission Round will be displayed on August 2nd week 2018
  • For Admission in the Academic session 2018-19, the Competent Authority shall conduct total Three rounds of Centralised Admission.
  • The CAP shall consist of first two rounds of Centralised Allotment wherein eligible candidates both Maharashtra and All India will fill separate/fresh Online Option forms for respective rounds.
  • The third round of CAP shall be conducted by way of counselling only for the eligible Maharashtra State candidates.

First

Maximum Number of options available will be notified at the time of filling of option form. 

First choice/option out of submitted Options

If the candidate is allotted seat in the first choice of submitted options, they have to confirm the admission. Such candidates will not be able to participate in the further round of CAP i.e. Round- I &II & irrespective of the fact that such candidate confirms the admission or not. Other candidates who have got allotment other than the first option may also confirm the admission if they wish so, however, such candidate will not be able to participate in further rounds of CAP if they confirms admission.

Second

Any one of the first seven choices/options submitted.

  • The candidate has to confirm the admission if they get the allotment to any one of the first seven options.
  • Such candidates will not be able to participate in further round of CAP i.e. Round 3 irrespective of whether such candidate confirms the admission or not.

Third

Seat available will be offered to candidates eligible to participate in Round 3 as per inter se merit.

  • No seat tag of reservation, All India etc. shall be maintained in this round.
  • All available seats will be offered only to Maharashtra State candidates who are eligible to participate in CAP Round 3
