NTSE Bihar 2018 is a state level exam conducted by SCERT (State Council of Educational Research & Training). As per the official notification, the NTSE Bihar 2018 will be conducted on 4 November 2018. The application process for NTSE Bihar has started and will end on 12 September 2018. Bihar National Talent Search Exam is a Stage-1 exam of NTSE for the students studying in Class 10 in Bihar. All the aspirants have to note that the students studying in recognized schools of Bihar are eligible to apply. The students who will qualify the Bihar NTSE exam will be eligible to appear for NTSE Stage 2 exam which will be conducted by NCERT (National Council of Educational Research & Training). NTSE Bihar 2018 - Eligibility Criteria

• All the students who are studying in Class 10 in the schools which are recognized by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education), ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education), Bihar State Madarsa Education Board or Bihar Sanskrit Shiksha Board are eligible to apply for Bihar NTSE Exam.
• The students who are studying in recognized Open Distance Learning schools are also eligible to appear for the NTSE Bihar 2018.
• The students also have to note that there is no domicile restriction.
• The school where the candidate is studying should be located in the Bihar state only.
• There is also no age restriction to apply for the NTSE Bihar exam.
• The NMMS (National Merit-cum-Means Scholarship) students are also eligible to apply for the Bihar NTSE exam.

NTSE Bihar Application Form & Process

NTSE Bihar application form can be downloaded by the candidates from the link which is provided on this page. After downloading the Bihar NTSE application form, they will have to fill in all the required details and submit the NTSE application form along with application fee to the Principal before the due date. NTSE Bihar 2018 - Documents Required for filling the application form

Before moving towards filling up the NTSE Bihar application form, the candidates have to collect the important documents and information, the documents required to apply for the Bihar NTSE 2018 are:

• Passport Size Photograph
• Caste Certificate - Issued from the Competent Authority
• PwD Certificate - Acquired from the Civil Surgeon. (About 40% disability)

All the candidates have to submit the duly filled NTSE Bihar application form along with the fees to the respective Head Master/ principal of the respective school. The Principal will list all the application form in alphabetical order and submit the collected fees in the form of demand draft to the Director SCERT Bihar Patna.

Note: It is to be noted that the wrongly filled application form and the late application will not be accepted by the authority.

NTSE Bihar 2018 Application Fees

All the students who are applying for Bihar NTSE will have to pay the application fee. The required fee can be paid in cash to the respective Principal of the school. The total amount of fee collected from the students has to be submitted by the school Principal in the form of demand draft in favour of Director, S.C.E.R.T, Patna, Bihar.

Note: The compensation on fee will be given to the reserved category candidates only when they submit the Caste certificate issued by the competent authority along with the application form.

NTSE Bihar 2018 - Selection Process

There are two stages for this NTSE scholarship examination i.e.Stage-1 NTSE Bihar 2018 which is a state level exam and Stage-2 NTSE, National Talent Search Examination which a national level exam The students who will qualify the Bihar NTSE exam will be eligible to appear for NTSE Stage-2 examination which will be conducted on 12 May at various exam centres located in all over India. The candidates who will qualify the NTSE Stae-2 exam will be awarded by the scholarship.

There is about one thousand scholarship which will be awarded to the qualified candidates. The NTSE scholarships for different stages of education are:

1. Scholarship of Rs 1200 per month for Class 11 and Class 12.
2. Scholarship of Rs 2000 per month for UG (Undergraduate) and PG (Postgraduate) students.
3. The scholarship amount for PhD is fixed in accordance with the UGC (University Grant Commission) norms.

NTSE Bihar 2018 - Reservation Norms

In the initial examination for the year 2018, the quota for Bihar state will be prescribed by NCERT. According to this Scholarship Scheme the reservation is provided prescribed as:

• Scheduled Caste (SC) - 16%
• Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 1%
• OBC - 27%
• PwD - 4%

NTSE Bihar Syllabus 2018

There is no prescribed syllabus for National Talent Search Examination. This scholarship exam is conducted to select the talented students. However, the syllabus for NTSE is prescribed on the basis of subjects used in Class 9 and 10 of the schools located in State Government.

NTSE Bihar Admit Card 2018

NTSE Bihar Admit Card 2018 will be available one week before the Bihar NTSE Exam. It will be available at the respective District Education Office of the district. The candidates who have duly filled the application form and submit the application fee will be able to get their NTSE Bihar Admit Card. No candidates will be allowed to appear for the exam without NTSE Admit Card.

NTSE Bihar Result 2018 is expected to be declared in the second week of March 2019. NTSE Bihar Result will be available at the official website of SCERT (State Council of Educational Research & Training).
