JEE Main exam centres 2019 will be located across major Indian and few foreign cities. There are 264 JEE Main test cities in India that will be hosting JEE Main exam centres. The registration process started from 1 September and aspirants applying for the test will be able to enter four choices of JEE Main exam cities as per their preference. On the basis of candidate’s choice for test city, JEE Main 2019 exam centre will be allotted. NTA will be announcing the allotted list of JEE Main exam cities on 21 October 2018. Complete address of JEE Main exam centres will be available on the admit card of the test. After the JEE Main exam centre allotment, no request for change will be accepted.

National Testing Agency will be conducting JEE Main from 6 January till 20 January on eight different sittings. On the day of the test, candidates are required to reach the JEE Main exam centre along with the admit card and other important documents at least 2.5 hours before the test starts. No student will be allowed to enter the JEE Main exam hall after the test starts. Also, if any student fails to produce their admit card before entering the JEE Main 2019 exam centre, then they won’t be allowed to write the test. Every year, lakhs of engineering aspirants appear for JEE Main exam and this year, for the first time NTA will conduct it in computer based mode. JEE Main Exam Centres 2019 Outside India

The National Testing Agency has also released the list of test cities located abroad and will host the JEE Main exam centres 2019. During the JEE registration process, candidates will be able to select one JEE Main exam city. Also, the application fee for candidates appearing for JEE Main 2019 will be higher compared to their counterparts appearing in India. JEE Main Exam Centres 2019 - Medium of Test

Candidates appearing for JEE Main 2019 can either opt for the language of the question paper to be in Hindi or in English. While filling the application form of JEE Main 2019, they are required to select the language of the question booklet. However, in few states and union territories, they can opt for the Gujarati language as well. JEE aspirants are advised to select the language of the question papers carefully. JEE Main Exam Centres 2019 - Steps to select

While filling the JEE Main registration 2019 form, candidates are required to select a JEE Main test city. On the basis of candidate’s choice, a JEE Main exam centre 2019 will be allotted. While selecting the JEE test city, candidates are advised to be careful and they are advised to select a city in which they are residing or nearby. Also, they must make sure that transport to commute is available so that they don’t reach late on the day of the test. It must be noted that under no circumstances, JEE Main exam centres will be changed after allotment.

JEE Main Exam Centres 2019 Guidelines

Some important instructions that each candidate must follow on the day of the entrance test are –

  • Candidates who have applied under the Persons with Disability (visually challenged) criteria are required to submit a request for scribe at least two days before the test. Also, candidates under the PwD category must carry their disability certificate to the exam centre on the day of the test
  • Complete address of JEE Main test centre will be printed on the admit card
  • Before entering the exam venue, students are required to produce their JEE Main admit card. Candidates failing to do so won’t be allowed to write the test
  • Once the test starts, no candidate will be allowed to enter the test
  • In case of any technical issue with the computer, candidates are advised to approach the exam supervisor
  • Until the duration of the paper is complete, no candidate will be allowed to exit the JEE Main exam hall
  • Candidates are advised to reach the test centre at least two and a half hours before the test starts
  • For rough work, sheets will be allotted to candidates. Also, candidates are required to submit the rough sheet before leaving the exam hall

Q. Will a JEE Main Exam Centre get cancelled?
Ans. Yes, JEE Main exam centres 2019 can get cancelled if there are candidates appearing is less than 50 in that city on a particular date of the test. Here, candidates will be allotted last day of the test in the same city.

Q. How to change JEE Main exam centre 2019?
Ans. Once the exam centres are allotted, the exam authorities won’t entertain any request to change the JEE Main 2019 exam centre. However, in case of grave situation, the decision of the Joint Executive Director (JAB) will be final.


Q. Can I carry any baggage to the JEE Main Exam Centre?
Ans. No, candidates are not allowed to carry any baggage inside JEE Main exam centres 2019.
