About CMC Ludhiana MBBS

CMC Ludhiana MBBS and BDS 2018 admissions will be done on the basis of NEET UG scores conducted by Christian Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana. CMC allows admission into MBBS/BDS course through NEET exams and for admission into B.Sc. Nursing and BPT courses, there is separate CMC entrance exam. The various courses offered in CMC are affiliated with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, and other professional councils.   • It is the first medical school for women in Asia and now it is open for admission to both men & women. The Christian Medical College offers Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, Postgraduate Degrees, Super specialty Degrees and Doctoral courses 
  • On the completion of the MBBS Course in Christian Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana candidates admitted under Christian Category with Service Commitment will have to serve at Mission Hospital after the completion of the course. 
  • All NEET qualified candidates who wish to take admission in CMC Ludhiana; Open General, Christian Minority with Service Commitment, SC/ST, BC, and NRI have to apply to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (State Counselling Authority) as per their Schedule. 

Punjab MBBS Admission 2018

  • Christian Minority candidates (with Service Commitment) have to send a copy of their submitted application of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, to the Registrar, CMC Ludhiana along with their Church Membership Certificate, Baptism Certificate, Affidavit of Service, Letter of Service Commitment and details of their domicile.
  • NRI candidates have to submit to CMC Ludhiana a copy of their application to BFUHS along with proof of NRI and eligibility certificate

Open Category
: Candidate irrespective of religion, caste, or domicile and who is an Indian National, can apply under this category.

  • Christian candidates applying in MBBS who do not wish to commit to serving in a Mission Hospital should apply in the Open category. 
  • Christian Category with Service Commitment: Candidates applying under this category have to be endorsed by one of the member bodies of the Christian Medical College Ludhiana Society to submit a Letter of Service Commitment issued by the member body of the Christian Medical College Ludhiana Society. 

About the MBBS Course at CMC Ludhiana 

  • Duration of the course: Five and a half years followed by one year of Compulsory Rotating Internship.The undergraduate course in medicine comprises of the following stages.

CMC Ludhiana MBBS Eligibility criteria

  • Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 17 years of age on 31 December 2018. Candidates born after 31 December 2001 are not eligible for admission.
  • Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India. Persons of Indian Origin with Citizenship of other countries may apply.

Academic Qualification

  • For MBBS and BDS: Candidates must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually.
  • Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (40% for SC/BC) in the qualifying examination of Class 12.
  • The candidates must have qualified NEET 2018.
  • For B.Sc. Nursing: Candidates must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English individually.
    • Candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% marks taken together in the qualifying examination of Class 12. (40% for SC/BC)
  • For BPT:  a Candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination with pass marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, Mathematics.
    • Candidate must have secured aggregate 50% in  Physics, Chemistry and Biology, and Mathematics.
  • If the candidate has also studied Mathematics along with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English then the marks obtained in Mathematics are not to be considered while preparing10+2 Merit list.

General School Information

  • CBSE/ICSE: The higher secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to Class 12 Higher Secondary Examination.
  • Indian University/Board The intermediate examination in science of an Indian University/Board or other recognized examining the body.
  • Pre-professional/pre-medical examination: Candidate should have passed the Pre-professional/pre-medical examination with PCB, after passing either Class 12 or the pre-university or an equivalent examination. It will include a Practical Test also.
  • The first year of the three-year degree course: Candidates can also have passed the first year of the three-year degree course of a recognized university with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology including a practical test.
  • B.Sc. examination: Candidate should have passed B.Sc. examination of an Indian University with not less than two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology.

CMC Ludhiana MBBS Application form and Admit Card

To apply for admission into CMC Ludhiana B.Sc. Nursing and BPT courses, the candidates need to fill the online application for CMC entrance exam. As per the notification of UGC, the NEET scores is mandatory for admission to MBBS/ BDS course in any government and private medical colleges in India. Therefore, to apply for the admission into MBBS/ BDS course, the candidates need to submit their NEET score.

Online Mode: Fresh Candidates may apply through online mode by visiting the official website. The application fees have to be paid Online ONLY.

  • Those applying under ‘Christian Category with Service Commitment” have to upload:
    • Church membership certificate
    • Baptism certificate
    • Domicile Certificate
    • Letter of Service Commitment from Body/Church of the CMC Ludhiana Society signed by the authorized signatory only. Kindly Note: It is mandatory that this letter is received in the Office of the Registrar latest by May 2018.

Submission of the Application Form

Candidates are advised to check the details of the application form and then make the final submission as because once the application gets submitted, the candidates will not be able to change the details of the application form

CMC Ludhiana Admit Card 2018

CMC Ludhiana Admit Card for Bible Test course will be available from the third week of August 2018. The admit cards will not be sent by post. The students should carry their CMC Ludhiana Admit card on the day of the exam as they will not be allowed to appear in the Examination without CMC Ludhiana Admit Card. Admit Card is an important document to be carried at the exam centre.

The CMC entrance exam is held for the admission into B.Sc Nursing and BPT courses. The exam pattern for the CMC Entrance exam is given below.

  • Subjects covered: Physics, Chemistry and Biology and General Aptitude
  • Standard: Class 11 and Class 12 Syllabus
  • Total Questions: 200; All questions will be multiple choice type with 4 choices each
  • Duration of Exam: 2 hours 30 minutes + [30 minutes Bible Test (For Christian Students only)]
  • Bible Test will also be a Computer Based Test and is of Objective type with 50 questions, based on facts from the Holy Bible (English Language only).
