CLAT Counselling 2018 has been started online from 8 June 2018. CLAT allotment list 2018 has been released on 8 June and the link to check it is available on this page. Candidates are offered admission in 19 participating National Law Universities on the basis of 'merit-cum-preference'. CLAT Result 2018 has been declared on 31 May 2018 for the exam which was conducted on 13 May 2018. There will be 3 merit lists released by the selection committee for the CLAT Counselling 2018; earlier CLAT Counselling was held in 4 round, however, this year, as per the latest information, only three round will be conducted to fill all the seats in 19 NLU's. The applicants will have to pay Rs 50,000 which is the counselling fee as per the schedule is given below in the table.   • The candidates who paid the counselling fee under 1st and 2nd round of seat allotment and are intended to withdraw from CLAT 2018 admission process are needed to request through their registered email id to withdrawal@clat.ac.in by 11.59 p.m. today, i.e. 21 June 2018.
  • CLAT Revised Result list of the candidates who raised grievances has been released and is available to download through the link given below.

The allotment list of CLAT has been released by NUALS, Kochi. Following is the procedure to check CLAT 2018 allotment list.

Step by Step Guide for CLAT 2018 Counselling and Admission

STEP 1: Mark the choice of the preferred NLU: All the shortlisted candidates are advised to mark their choice of the preferred NLU via online counselling window available on CLAT website from 8 June 2018. The choices locked by the candidates as well as the merit of the candidates will be taken into account while allotting the seats. Step 1 is mandatory for admission to any one of the 19 participating NLU(s).

STEP 2: First List: Category wise First List will be published on the official website on 10 June 2018. For the candidates whose name appears in the List will be required to pay Rs. 50,000 towards the counselling either via online mode or offline mode at the CLAT office from 8 to 12 June 2018. This amount shall be adjusted later on against the total fee payable by the candidate. Counselling Fee can be paid as per the dates specified.

STEP 3: Second List: On successful completion of fee depositing, the NLU wise second provisional allotment list shall be published on 19 June 2018.

After that candidate will be able to either lock the allotted seat or can choose the further up-gradation. Candidate will also have the option to withdraw from the admission process at this stage. Any of the options exercised by the candidate will be treated as final.

STEP 4: Third List: After successful completion of the second allotment, the third allotment list will be published on 25 June 2018.

  • The additional candidates provisionally selected against dropped candidates are required to pay the requisite counselling fee of Rs. 50,000 and exercise their option of ‘lock’ or ‘shift’ from 28 to 30 June 2018.
  • The provisionally selected candidates can withdraw from the admission process till 19 June 2018. However, a fee of Rs. 10,000 will be deducted from the deposited counselling fee Up to the third week of June 2018.

Candidates whose name appears on the Third List will be required to complete admission formalities as per the dates at respective NLU.

STEP 5: Fourth List: As per the latest information, CLAT Counselling 2018 will be held in three round only, however, if there are seats left unfilled in any NLUs, that will be filled by the respective NLU as per the Rules and Regulations of the participating Universities.

STEP 6: Once the candidate has been allotted the seat they are required to approach the respective NLU to complete the admission formalities and to pay the balance fees. The candidates have to carry relevant certificates/documents in original issued by the competent authority in support of the various claims made by the candidates from 28 to 30 June 2018.
