About PPMET 2018

PPMET 2018 has been conducted on 1 July by BFUHS, Faridkot. PPMET result 2018 (provisional) has been announced on 2 July for candidates who appeared for the entrance examination. A link to download the result of Punjab BSc Nursing 2018 is provided on this page. PPMET 2018 result displays the name of aspirant , father's name and marks obtained in the entrance test as per the roll number. PPMET 2018 result has been calculated on the basis of marking scheme decided by the authority. As per the marking pattern, 4 marks are allotted for every correct answer and no negative marking for incorrect answers. Based on the result, candidates will be called for PPMET 2018 counselling. PPMET is the basis for admission to 4450 B.Sc Nursing courses offered by the government as well as private nursing colleges in the state. PPMET 2018 Result

The result of Punjab BSc Nursing 2018 has been announced on 2 July. Aspirants who appeared for the entrance test on 1 July 2018 can check their marks obtained in PPMET 2018. A link to download the PPMET result is provided below. The result displays the name of candidates, father's name, roll number and marks obtained in the test. Based on the marking scheme of PPMET, the result has been announced. As per the marking pattern, 4 marks have been allotted to a correct response, while there is no negative marking. Candidates included in PPMET 2018 result will be called for the counselling procedure.

PPMET 2018 Eligibility criteria

To appear for PPMET BFUHS BSc Nursing Entrance Exam 2018, the candidate should be a bonafide resident of Punjab. however, exemptions are given in certain cases (details are given towards the end of this page).

Age: Candidate must have completed 17 years of on or before 31 December 2018.

Academic Eligibility: Candidate should have passed class 12 or an equivalent to it recognised by the state of Punjab. The subjects in Class 11 and Class 12 should comprise of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, passed with minimum 45% in PCB (40% for SC/ST/BC). English is a compulsory subject for being eligible.

  • Candidates, who have appeared in the class 12 exam but the result is not yet declared, may appear in the PPMET 2018 but will have to produce the evidence of passing by the time of counselling.
  • If the Mathematics is also the subject along with PCB and English, its marks will not be considered for the admission.

NRI Eligibility: Foreign Indian Student (NRI) category applicants do not need to apply for the Entrance Exam. They will have to take the Eligibility Certificate from the University and will send the admission application directly to the University.

PPMET 2018 Application form and Admit Card

PPMET Application Form 2018 can only be filled Online. One candidate can submit only one form. The prospectus can be downloaded online or can be purchased from the University after paying Rs 200. To submit the application form, the candidates have to follow the instruction given below.

  • Registration: After the submission of Application form, a Unique Registration ID, and password will be issued by the University that the student will receive on his registered Mobile number/Email ID.
  • Uploading Images: The candidate will use their Login Id and password to edit application, upload photo, signature and thumb impressions. After all the details are filled and photographs are uploaded, you will lock your application. Once the application is locked, it cannot be edited again. So candidates must be careful in doing so. All the photographs should be of 25KB size only.
  • Payment of PPMET Application Fee: The candidates will have to submit the fees through the challan form, generated after successful submission of Online application. The fees will be submitted to any branch of Oriental Bank of commerce only.

Application Submission

The Application form has to be submitted ONLINE through University website. The last date for the submission of application form will be in June last week 2018. The fees can be deposited in any branch of Oriental Bank of Commerce through Bank Challan form which will be generated after online application form submission.

PPMET Admit Card 2018

PPMET Admit Card 2018 is available to download from 27 June onwards. Only those candidates who have submitted their duly filled application form along with the required fee will be able to download PPMET Admit Card.  PPMET Admit card 2018 can be downloaded online only. Candidates will not receive any confirmation by Post. The test will be conducted at various centres in different cities. The candidates will be informed for their respective exam centres by the University.

PPMET 2018 Result and Counselling

PPMET Merit List 2018

PPMET Merit List 2018 will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination that is PPMET 2018. The allotment of seats for the admission will be done after the personal appearance of the candidate before the selection committee. Candidates will be able to check PPMET 2018 Merit List, however, last year list is available now.

Selection Criteria for BSc Nursing

A candidate will be selected for admission to BSc Nursing only if he/she qualify in PPMT 2018. The minimum required marks to qualify PPMET are as follows:

PPMET BSc Nursing Counselling 2018

The Selected candidates will be called for the allotment of seats. PPMET counselling 2018 will be conducted in two Rounds from July to October 2018. The schedule for the 2nd Round Physical Counselling will be available here, along with the vacant seat matrix for the counselling scheduled in the second week of September 2018.

Fee from the selected candidates will be collected on the spot strictly in the form of Demand Draft favouring Registrar, BFUHS payable at Faridkot. The counselling for the vacant seats will be conducted in November 1st week 2018 for the  Post Basic BSc Nursing and MSc Nursing courses

PPMET 2018 Exam pattern

PPMET 2018 will be a pen paper-based test. 

  • Duration of Exam: 3 hours
  • Language of Exam: English
  • Type of Questions: There will 200 Multiple choice questions, each question carries 4 marks.
  • Negative marking: There is no negative marking for any wrong or un-attempted question but remember to darken the option E that is introduced for security purpose otherwise 1 mark will be deducted for each such question where all the ovals are left blank.

Reservation and Seat Allocation
As both Government and Private Institutes are covered for the admission, a separate allocation is made for the seats respectively.

For Private Colleges: The total seats in Private colleges are divided into Government quota seats – 50%, Management/ Minority Quota seats - 50% (It also includes 15% for NRI).Seats remaining vacant under any reserved category shall be merged with the General category seats.
