Indian Railways Recruitment 2017 for 18000 Vacancies

Indian Railways Recruitment Board has come up with a huge job opening in 2017. The Indian railways are conducting online exam to fill up over 18000 vacancies in various categories in group C such as including assistant station master, goods guard, inquiry-cum-reservation clerk, traffic and commercial apprentices and junior accounts assistant. Indian Railways Recruitment is done on the basis of the competitive exam which is conducted by the Railways Recruitment Board (RRB).

Till now more than 92 lakh candidates had applied for the railway jobs last year and 2.73 lakh candidates qualified for the preliminary exam which was held on 17 to 19 January 2017. The next step is for selection for assistant station masters is the psychological tests and for senior clerks is typing test. The successful candidates of 17 to 19 January 2017 exam are expected to receive their job appointment letter by May 2017.

There are more than 1800 vacancies for or class 10, 12 and graduate candidates. The Candidates can apply for these posts under Indian Railway Recruitment 2017 on or before the last date. It is to be noted that the application deadline for all the posts is different, some of them are given below.

Indian Railways Vacancies

 
At present, Railways Recruitment Board (RRB) has come up with total 2 lakh vacancies which have more than 13 lakh employees. However, all the vacancies will not be filled up as many posts are being frozen at the moment. The railways are going to start next recruitment drive for about 20000 vacancies, including in the technical supervisor and posts of assistant loco pilots in the next phase.

Indian Railways Recruitment Online Exam

This year, the Railway Recruitment Boards is conducting the online examination to fill up more than 18,252 graduate-level Group-3 posts in order to fill up the vacant posts. Earlier, the recruitment examinations used to be conducted manually every time, but after a few alleged incidents of question paper leak; the Railways Recruitment Board (RRB) has abandoned the manual system and opted for online mode.

In order to complete transparency, an RRB official describes the railways online test the "largest online examination in the world". The RRB also introduced the system of showing answer papers of the candidate’s online examination question paper. He also said "We have shown the examinees the answers given by them and the correct answers to the questions. We had also given them opportunities to raise objections, if any, till 30 January 2017".

Indian Railways Recruitment Application Process


The candidates wish to appear in the railway recruitment online examination, have to submit the application form only through online mode on the official website of the Railways Recruitment Boards. To fill the online application form, the candidates have to provide their personal details, educational details, contact details etc. after filling all the details, the candidates have to upload their recent passport size photograph, scanned copy of their signature and some other required documents. Thereafter, the candidates have to make payment of the application fee through the online payment mode such as credit card, debit card and internet banking etc.
