CBSE extends application dates for certain scholarship
The central Board of Secondary Education through a public notice extended the last dates of application for some of its scholarships. The last date for application for the CBSE Scholarship will now be September 30, 2014. The scholarships whose final dates of submission have been extended are as follows.
1) The CBSE Merit Scholarship scheme for single girl child +2 education
This scholarship aims to provide educational aid to meritorious single girl child students (girls with above 60% or CGPA 6.2 and above ) who plan to continue their 11th and 12th education in the country
2) The Central Sector Scholarship scheme for college and university students
To scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from low-income families to meet day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies. The scholarship will be awarded based on the candidates performance in Class 12 or equivalent.
3) Renewal of Online applications of CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child awarded in 2013.
The details, eligibility clauses and application forms are available on the Central Boards of Secondary Education's website - www.cbse.nic.in
The last date for receipt of hard copy of the online application with the required documents is also extended till October 15, 2014.
Applications sent beyond the deadline date will not be considered under any circumstances
