Central Board of Secondary Education has invited applications from candidates placed in the category NIOP(Class X), FAIL/COMPARTMENT(Class XII) and those who wish to appear for improving their performance or for an additional subject as a Private candidate for the examination scheduled to be held in March 2016. The candidates have to apply through the official website of CBSE, the link for which is cbse.nic.in. The deadline to make the application is October 15, 2015 (without late fee). With late fee the online application form can be submitted till Dec 31, 2015, for the improvement / private exam to be conducted in March 2016.

- FAIL/COMPARTMENT(Class XII)
- For those who want to appear in Additional Subject
Eligibility Criteria
FOR CLASS 12
- For JEE Aspirants: Candidates who intends to apply for JEE Main in subsequent year should appear in all subjects for improvement of performance.
- Additional Subject: Candidate who has passed Board examination can apply for an Additional subject from the list of subjects enclosed, within 06 years of passing the examination.
FOR CLASS 10
- Additional Subject: Candidate who has passed Board examination can apply for an Additional subject from the list of subjects enclosed, within 06 years of passing the examination.
Step by Step Application Procedure
- Step 1: Keep the things ready: Candidates should keep the previous information ready like admit card and marks statement having information about your main examination.
- Step 2: Click on the category of examination carefully under which you want to apply
- Step 3: Fill in the Information: Furnish all the details with extra care and make sure to enlist the subject properly. Candidates have to specify the City/District from the drop down menu which is based on the selected state
- Step 4: Submission: On successful submission of the duly filled in application form a screen containing application number will be displayed. Candidates have to note down the application number as it will be used in future for references.
- Step 5: Upload Photo and Signature: Candidates have to upload their scanned Photo and Signature
- Step 6: Fee Payment: Go to Fee Payment option and pay using e-challan or Demand Draft
- Step 7: Confirmation Page: Go to "Generate Confirmation Page" option generate the confirmation page
Enclosures to be sent
- Photostat copy of the Mark sheet/Grade Sheet cum Certificate of Performance of the Roll No.
- Filled in the application form
- Copy of e-challan/ Original DD (in case of payment made through DD)
- The confirmation page
Address where the documents have to be sent
Candidates have to send the above mentioned enclosures to the concerned Regional Office whose address is given on the confirmation page. Fresh female candidate appearing under Delhi Scheme will also have to send the Affidavit.

Important Points
- In case the candidate fills in any wrong information or gives false statement or produces false document, then their form shall be rejected, and fee paid shall be forfeited
- The candidates must note that confirmation page along with enclosures should be submitted to the respective Regional Office
- The last date to apply online is October 15 (Without Late Fees)
ADMIT CARD
Candidates will be able to download the Admit Cards from the website of CBSE www.cbse.nic.in during the 2nd week of February 2016.
