JEE Main Exam Centres 2018 -Venue, Test Centres, Difficulty Level

JEE Main Exam Centres 2018 is the list of Exam cities and venues where JEE Main 2018 will be conducted on 8 April 2018 in offline mode and on 15 & 16 April 2018 in computer-based mode, for both Paper 1 & Paper 2. JEE Main 2018 will be conducted in major cities and town of India as well as abroad including Dubai, Singapore Riyadh etc. The candidates need to select four JEE Main Exam Centres in their JEE Main Application Form 2018 in the case of pen & paper based examination and one city in case of Computer-based examination. The exact venue of examination will be decided by the board only which will be further intimated by the candidates via Roll Numbers and the applicants can check their respective test centres in the list below.  JEE Main Exam Centre Allotment has been done by CBSE and the students can view the test centre allotted to them by downloading JEE Main Admit Card. Latest Update: JEE Main Exam Day Guidelines for the exam day. It has some important points which the students can follow.   • Around 1.14 Million candidates have registered for the JEE Main 2018 Exam. This year the total number of the candidate who has registered is 51,000 less than that of the candidates who have appeared in JEE Main 2017.

JEE Main Exam Centres List 2018

The following table shows the list of the JEE main Exam centres and cities for the JEE Main to be conducted on 8 April 2018 in offline mode and on 15 & 16 April 2018 in computer-based mode. Kota and many other cities of India have been added to the list to host JEE Main 2018. JEE Main will be conducted in across 258 cities in India along with 10 Centres outside India.

The candidates must follow the given points regarding the JEE Main Exam Centres 2018

  • JEE Main Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning.) will be conducted on 8 April 2018, from 2.00 PM to 5.00PM (IST), only in Pen & Paper based examination cities and also in Colombo, Kathmandu, Singapore.
  • The Computer Based Examination for Paper – 1 in Colombo, Kathmandu, Singapore, Bahrain, Dubai, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Qatar and Dhaka will be held on 15 April 2018.
  • In the case of an increase in a number of candidates opting the city of Delhi for Computer Based Examination of JEE Main – 2018, some candidates may be allotted examination centres in Noida/ Greater-Noida/ Ghaziabad/ Faridabad/ Gurgaon.
  • Choice of Medium of Question Papers: Language choice in the JEE Main question paper will as under:

JEE Main Exam Centres 2018 - Important Points to remember

  • In case, the number of candidates for computer-based examination is less than 50 in a city on a particular date then such candidates will be allotted the last day of the computer-based examination in the same city.
  • If there is an increase in the number of candidates opting for a particular city as the centre of examination of JEE Main 2018, a different city in a nearby area may be allotted.
  • No request for the change in the test centres will be entertained in any case.
  • Candidates are advised to select the 1st preference of Exam centres nearest to their residence.

JEE Mains 2018 Difficulty Level

In an official statement by CBSE regarding the JEE Main Difficulty levels, CBSE has ensured the candidates that the examination difficulty level would be similar to the previous year exams. In each of the Sets, The number of difficult and easy questions are same so as to make that, each candidate faces the similar level of difficulty. “Subject experts (who have prepared these question papers) have certified that the entire syllabus of mathematics, physics and chemistry has been covered in each question set by dividing the syllabus of each subject into an appropriate number of units and choosing an equal number of questions from each unit,” said the statement.

Kota to host JEE Main 2018 again 

Earlier, we had the news that the CBSE has removed the Kota from the examination cities of JEE Main but last year, once again the Kota has been added to the list of the exam centres. The new list of the exam centres has updated. The student community in Kota was not happy with this decision of CBSE.

JEE Main Exam will be conducted in Pen and Paper Based Mode in Kota

Around 50,000 aspirants take coaching for JEE Main in Kota. Dropping Kota from the list had forced the aspirants to rush to other cities during the examination which creates inconvenience to the student community. Now the students have the sigh of relief. Now JEE Main 2018 is going to be held in 258 cities including outside India.

The exam would be conducted in Only Computer Based Mode in Colombo, Kathmandu and Singapore. In rest of the centres, the exam will be conducted in both pen and paper-based mode and computer-based mode.

All test centres where the test is conducted in Pen and Paper Based mode, there is an option of the exam to be conducted in computer-based test centre also.
