CENTAC MBBS and BDS Counselling 2018 is done for admission to MBBS and BDS colleges in Puducherry. The application form of CENTAC MBBS counselling has been over. CENTAC MBBS merit list has been released for all categories. Aspirants who have registered themselves are included in CENTAC 2018 merit list. CENTAC MBBS and BDS merit list have been prepared on the basis of NEET scores. Candidates included in the draft merit list of CENTAC are allowed to participate in counselling procedure. CENTAC MBBS and BDS Merit List 2018

The merit list of CENTAC MBBS and BDS 2018 has been released on 30 June by Government of Puducherry. Candidates who have filled the application form and have qualified in NEET are included in CENTAC MBBS merit list 2018. A link to download CENTAC MBBS/BDS merit list is provided below.

Nationality

• The candidate applying to CENTAC should be an Indian national.
• French Nationals residing in the UT of Puducherry and covered by the terms of the Treaty of Cession shall be treated at par with Indian Nationals, for the purpose of admission to all the courses.
  • French Nationals will not be required to produce residence certificate instead they should produce a certificate of registration issued for this purpose from the French Consulate at Puducherry

Domicile Criteria

• A candidate is considered to belong to the UT of Puducherry if he/she satisfies, at least, one of the following domicile criteria

Academic Qualification

1. The candidates should have studied English as one of the subjects.
2. Passed Qualifying Exam with 50% marks for general and 40% marks for OBC/BCM/MBC/EBC/BT/SC in the prescribed subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Biotechnology, Botany and Zoology and they should have passed the above four subjects individually.
3. The candidates should have completed Higher Secondary Course in 2017-18 and should have been sponsored by CENTAC for Engineering Courses and pursued the first year of the Engineering Course in 2017-18
4. The candidates should have cleared NEET examination in 2019.

The registration for the CENTA MBBS and BDS Counselling will be started in the second week of May 2018. Interested candidates have to fill the registration form to participate in the CENTA MBBS and BDS Counselling process. The selection of candidates for counselling process will be done on the basis of NEET scores. Steps to Register for the CENTAC MBBS and BDS Counselling

• STEP 1: In the first step, the candidates have to register themselves on the official website of CENTAC by following the given link. While registering themselves, the candidates have to provide the following the details:
  • Name of the candidate
  • DOB
  • Email Id
  • Mobile number
• STEP 2: After registration, the candidates will receive a verification link to their email account. The link will redirect them to the login panel.
• STEP 3: After login into the account, the candidates applying for the MBBS and BDS should select the Puducherry UT followed by Category selection.
• STEP 4: The candidates after that have to select the course and then they have to enter the NEET register number.
• STEP 5: At last, the candidates have to click on submit button which will redirect them to the payment gateway. After the payment of the fee, the registration would be considered as completed.

The candidates registering for the CENTAC MBBS and BDS course have to make the payment of the CENTAC MBBS/ BDS Counselling Fee which is Rs. 600. The candidates should know that the application fee should be paid only once. The annual fee structure for the different colleges associated with the CENTAC is given below.

• The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of NEET scores. The merit list will be prepared by the centralised admission committee of Puducherry.
• The shortlisted candidates will be called for the counselling process hold by the CENTAC on the basis of the prepared merit list.
• The candidates should know that selecting the candidates for the admission in the CENTAC to pursue MBBS/ BDS course is the final judgement of the admission authority.

Candidates can download CENTAC Counselling letter from www.centaconline.in. The eligible candidates, who do not receive the counselling call letters but fall within the above category/merit marks are also requested to attend the counselling as per schedule.

Candidates have to carry all the original certificates and one set of photocopies of all the documents and a Demand Draft for 750 (350 for SC/BT) drawn in favor of The Convenor, CENTAC and payable at Puducherry.
