HPNLU Essay Writing Competition 2018 - Application, Prizes

HPNLU Essay Writing Competition 2018 is announced on 21 June 2018 by Himachal Pradesh National Law University. The candidates pursuing their graduation and post-graduation from any university/college/institute are eligible to apply for HPNLU Essay Writing Competition 2018. This is the 1^st edition of Online Essay Competition which is initiated by the Debate and Literary Society of HPNLU. The theme of 1^st HPNLU Essay Writing Competition is Privacy in the Socio-legal and Cultural Milieu. The Result of HPNLU Essay Writing Competition will be declared on 31 October 2018. The winners will be awarded the cash prizes and certificates. The Top-10 essay by the winning candidates will also be featured on the webpage of HPNLU. The last date to submit entries in HPNLU Essay Writing Competition 2018 is 8 September 2018.

All the participants will get the e-certificate of participation. The Top-3 Winners will be awarded the cash prizes and certificates. The Top-10 essay by the winning candidates will also be published on the webpage of HPNLU. The following are the rewards which will be distributed to the winners:

The candidates need to submit their essay to official email Id i.e. dls.hpnlu@gmail.com with the tagline ‘1st HPNLU Essay Competition, 2018. Along with the Essay, the candidate needs to attach the screenshot of Online Registration. The link to register online is given below.

HPNLU Essay Writing Competition 2018 Guidelines

• The essay must be written in English Language only
• The essay format must be either .doc or .docx format.
• The essay should be the original work of the author
• The word limit for the essay is up to 5000 words, including footnotes
• The author name should not be mentioned anywhere in the essay
• Technical Guidelines
  • The essay should be typed in Times New Roman
  • Font Size 12 and Line Spacing 1.5.
  • The margins should be 1” or 2.54 cm on all sides

The selection will be made on the basis of following scheme. A Panel of Evaluators will decide the winners.
