About Babu Jagjivan Ram Essay Competition

Babu Jagjivan Ram All India Essay Competition 2016 main aim is to make the students aware about the life of Babu Jagjivan Ram and the social inclusions related to him.Babu Jagjivan Ram National Foundation an autonomous organisation of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, is conducting an essay writing competition for students of recognised schools and colleges/universities.

The competition is conducted every year and the medium of competition is Hindi and English.There are two categories of the Essay Competition are as follows

Recognised schools (Class 9-12)

      • Topic- What Social Equality means to you: - Lessons from the life of Babu Jagjivan Ram. (2000 words)

Recognized Colleges (Universities/ Institutions)

      • Topic- Empowerment of the Scheduled Cast Community: - Contribution of Babu Jagjivan Ram (3500 words)
  • Candidates do not have to pay any entry fees for the Essay Writing Competition.

Details
  • Candidates from any recognized school or college/university/institutions can apply in the competition.
  • Each Candidate can submit only one essay entry.
  • Each candidate has to submit a certificate indicating that the essay is their original work.
  • Individual candidate has to enclose a certificate issued by the concerned recognized school/ college/ University/ institutions, certifying that they are bonafide student

Babu Jagjivan Ram Essay Competition Application form and Process

Candidates have to download the Application form as well as bonafide certificate from the official website

  • Along with the Application Form and Essay, candidates have to send their bonafide certificate from the institutions in which they are enrolled specifying that they are students of that institution. Download Bonafide Certificate
  • Participants should send two clean typed copies (one original & another photocopy) of the essay.
  • One copy should include name, address, topic, language, e-mail, phone no. etc. with the signature of the participant, while the other copy need not show any such particulars.
  • Relevant information like name, e-mail address, postal address, institution, course and year of study, etc. of the student participant should be indicated in the covering letter and strictly not in the essay.

Submission of the Essay

  • Candidates have to submit the Essay in an Envelope along with the Application form and Bonafide Certificate via registered / Speed post at the following address.
  • On the top of the envelope  write "Babu Jagjivan Ram All India Essay Competition - 2016."

Babu Jagjivan Ram Essay Competition Selection Process

For the selection of prize winning entry, the essay will be evaluated by the panel of judges set up by the Babu Jagjivan Ram National Foundation.

The essays will be judged on the following criteria

Babu Jagjivan Ram Essay Competition Result

 


The list of winners will be published on the website of the Foundation and the winners will be intimated by post.
The Prize money will be sent to winners in the form of an account payee Bank Draft by registered post through the concerned recognised schools/ colleges/ universities/ institutions.
