Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) has launched an eight-week radio internship for those aspirants who are interested in learning the modulation of the medium. The course will be useful and beneficial for such candidates who are actually seeing themselves making a career in programming and production. The IIMC Radio Internship programme is likely to commence from 1 September 2017 following by 15 slots. In this programme, the students will be introduced to the basics of writing and scripting for various genres of the radio programme. The course fee for the IIM radio internship programme is Rs 5,000 can be submitted by the candidate until the third week of August 2017.

  • Rajendra Chugh who is head of programming Apna Radio, IIM’s community radio says “Several students have expressed interest in the medium but were unable to find an adequate infrastructure in other institution. So that the main objective behind launching the programme is to ensure that external candidates also take advantage of infrastructure at IIMC.”
  • The candidates must have a sense of understanding news, an aptitude for identifying what makes good radio as well as the willingness to learn how to handle the equipment needed for the programme.

  • The course fee for the IIMC eight week radio internship programme is Rs 5,000 which can be paid until the third week of August 2017.
