WBJEE Counselling 2018 for Engineering/ Architecture/ Pharmacy Courses Registration for Mop-Up Round has started online from 13 July 2018. The candidates have to log in to check the seat and college allotted to them. The WBJEE seat allotment has been done based on the choices filled in by the candidates. Allotment of seats under West Bengal state quota will be done only for the candidates who have qualified for the West Bengal Entrance Examination 2018. The candidates who have not been allotted any rank are not eligible for counselling. The counselling will be held based on the General Merit rank (GMR) and Pharmacy merit Rank (PMR) and not on the basis of category rank. WBJEE 2018 is a common entrance exam for admission to Universities, Govt. Colleges and Self-financed Institutes of West Bengal into Undergraduate Courses in Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture. WBJEE Counselling 2018 will be conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Board( WBJEEB)

WBJEE Counselling 2018 - Process

The candidates can register for the counselling through online mode by following the link given on this page. The online registration for the counselling process started from 9 June 2018. The counselling for the admission to the engineering colleges across the state of West Bengal is conducted on the basis of the WBJEE Counselling. The counselling process started from 9 June 2018. The WBJEE Counselling will be conducted in online mode, there will be no offline mode for the counselling. The WBJEE Counselling process will be carried out as per the process is given below.

WBJEE Counselling Procedure - Steps to Follow

The given below are the steps to be followed by the candidates throughout the counselling process. Candidate must note that the last date for the submission of the WBJEE Counselling fee is in the third week of June 2018.

STEP 1: Online Registration / Payment of Counselling Fee

  • The candidates have to register themselves on the link above to be eligible to attend the first round of counselling.
  • Now the candidates have to pay the counselling fee of Rs 500 via Debit Card/ Credit Card or E-challan of the Allahabad Bank.
  •  Only the candidates who have paid the application fee will be eligible for the further process of WBJEE Counselling including the Choice filling procedure and Seat Allotment.

Provisional Admission Fee

Candidates who would be allotted seats in the first round, based on their rank and choice have to pay provisional admission fee based on their categories and institutions:

STEP 2: Online Choice Filling

  • After the successful payment and the registration of the counselling process, the candidates have to now fill the preferences and choices of the colleges.
  • The choices and preferences of the Institute will be shown as per the eligibility of the candidates (Whether the candidates are eligible for GMR of PMR or Both).
  • All the candidates have to fill the single set of choices, even if they are eligible for both.
  • TFW candidates have an option to fill the choices with TFW or without TFW seat in any order of preferences.
  • The choices submitted by the candidates will be carry forwarded till the last round of the counselling.
  • Candidates can change the order, add, or delete the choices as per their convenience until the choices are locked.

STEP 3: Choice Locking and Printing of the Filled in Choices

  • The candidates have to now fix the choices they have made after finalising them. To do so the candidates have to click the " Lock Choices " button.
  • Once the choices are filled the candidates can not change the order of their choices.
  • In case any candidate has left the choices unlocked till the last date for the locking of the choices, The choices will be automatically saved.

STEP 4: Seat Allotment

  • The candidates will be allotted the seats as per their merit in GMR or PMR automatically.
  • The candidates who have been allotted seats in the 1st Round of the counselling will have to report the reporting centres, to complete the admission formalities.
  • The 3 rounds of the counselling will be conducted for the admission, the seats remaining vacant will be filled in subsequent rounds of the counselling.
  • Note: The candidate who withdraws from the provisional admission will not be considered for the next rounds of the counselling / Seat allotment.

STEP 5: Round 1 of Seat Allotment

  • The 1st round of allotment will be conducted on the basis of the choices locked by the candidates during the main counselling will be processed centrally.
  • The candidates who wish to withdraw the seat allotted to him or her will have to report the same reporting centre where the allotment procedure was conducted. The refund rules will be applicable to such candidates.

STEP 6: Reporting Process at the Reporting Centre

  • The candidates who have been allotted the seats for the 1st time in any rounds of the counselling will have to report the respective reporting centres.
  • The candidates have to now pay the acceptance fee using the Allahabad Bank Challan, Debit Card, Credit Card and after that, they have to download the Provisional Allotment Letter.
  • In case the candidate is allotted a seat then they will have to sign a declaration, that in the event of the allotment of the seat in the subsequent rounds, their earlier allotted seat will be automatically cancelled.

STEP 7: Second Round of Seat Allotment

  • There will be no fresh registration accepted for the second round of the counselling procedures.
  • The candidates categorised in the listed below groups are eligible for the 2nd round of the seat allotment.
    • Group 1: The registered candidates who are not allotted any seat in the 1st round of the counselling.
    • Group 2: The registered candidates who are allotted the seat in the 1st round of the counselling but fails to the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria at the reporting centre.
    • Group 3: The candidates who have been allotted the seat in Round 2 of the counselling procedure and also submitted the willingness as "yes" for the up gradation in the next rounds of the counselling
    • Group 4: The candidates who have been allotted the seat in Round 2 of the counselling procedure and submitted the willingness "No" for the up gradation. However, their older seat will be retained in the same category or in the upgraded category.

Documents Required for WBJEE Counselling

WBJEE Counselling is an online process, therefore, no documents will be required for participating in the online allotment process. However, after the seat is allotted the candidate will have to personally visit the prescribed College for document verification

WBJEE Decentralised Counselling 2018 for Vacant Seats

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) will conduct decentralised counselling for spot admission in vacant seats for 8 Government Engineering & Technology Colleges in West Bengal.
