AFCAT Result 02/2018 is expected to be declared In October 2018. This is the result of the AFCAT 2 2018 exam for admission in July 2019 batch, the exam was conducted on 18 and 19 August 2018. AFCAT Result will be available only for the candidates who appeared in the AFCAT exam. Indian Air Force will also release the cut-off marks along with the AFCAT written exam Result. The candidates who will pass the AFCAT test will be eligible for the further selection process. The shortlisted students will then appear in the next stage of testing that is Air Force Selection Boards (AFSB). This page has complete details on AFCAT Result 02/2018, cut-offs. The board also released a list which contains the name of the candidates whose result is not evaluated due to any reason.

AFCAT is for selection into Indian Air Force Flying Branch, Technical Branch & Ground Branch. Only those candidates who have cleared both AFCAT and EKT will be considered for selection into Technical Branch. The entry in the AFCAT for Flying Branch are also invited through Meteorology entry and NCC special entry.

The candidates who appeared in the AFCAT 2/2018 exam, EKT on 18 and 19 August 2018 respectively can check the result on this page once it is announced. The shortlisted students will have to appear in the next stage of testing that is Air Force Selection Boards (AFSB). How to check the AFCAT Result?

  • To check the AFCAT scores the candidates will have to check the AFACT Merit List where the roll number wise, the result of the candidates is given.
  • To check your AFACT result scores, go to the website and click on icon “candidate login”.
  • Use your registered e-mail address as your username and use the password provided by AFCAT Cell.
  • Candidates can check their Roll Numbers in the merit list along with their scores using the login ID and Password.

Unable to check AFCAT Result 2018

The candidates have to enter the correct User Name and Password in order to login successfully. Make sure to enter the password carefully; it is case sensitive. If the candidate has forgotten his/her password please use “Forgot Password Option” once and wait for the new password. Be patient as it may take few hours. It is to be noted that the password gets blocked if it is incorrectly used for more than five times or so.

Selection of AFSB Centre After Result

Select Venue and Date for further Tests: If your AFCAT Roll Numbers figured in the merit list, then you are required to log in to your account and select the venue and date for further testing at one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs).

  • Then, candidates have to take the print of the call letter and associated forms up to a given date from the website immediately after selecting their venues and date and report to the selected venue along with the documents listed below
    • Call Up letter & the associated forms duly filled
    • AFCAT Admit Card and other documents as listed in the Call-Up letter.

Guidelines for Selection of Venue for the AFSB Selection after Result

  • Applied for Flying Branch only: Candidates who have applied only for Flying Branch are required to select AFSB centre as Dehradun, Mysore or Varanasi. Make sure they do not select any other venue for the selection.
  • Airmen candidates who have appeared for SSB for more than six times should only select AFSB (Kancharapara) as the SSB venue. If they are unable to select their AFSB Venue then they should contact JDPO-3(A/B) Air HQ (VB).

Candidates with Non-Evaluated AFCAT Result

The Indian Air Force has also released the list of the 1241 candidates whose OMR Sheets have not been evaluated for the reasons listed below:

  • The candidates have not bubbled the booklet series correctly
  • Candidates might have filled incomplete OMR Sheet
  • Candidates might not have bubbled appropriately in OMR Sheet

AFCAT Merit List Infomation

  • Submission of Documents: AFCAT Merit List 2017 which was released on 8 April 2017, the selected candidates will need to submit all the required important documents after that.
  • Course Commencement Date: The January 2018 will begin on 2 January 2018 and the candidates whose name have appeared in the main Merit List are required to report at Secunderabad Railway Station.
  • Joining Instructions Booklet
  • The candidates whose name have appeared in the Main Merit List need to fill up the forms according to the Joining Instruction Booklet (JIB). The selected candidates will receive an ink signed a letter from Air HQ giving the details of joining. The candidates must carry the letter along with completed forms and submit those to Training Wing Adjutant at AFA.

AFCAT 01/2018 (Reexam for Some candidates) was conducted on 24 & 25 Mar 2018 for candidates of the centres, where either both or any single shift of AFCAT and/or EKT paper of AFCAT 01/2018 (Main) was cancelled on 25 Feb 2018, and also for candidates who were individually affected due to technical breakdown at their exam centre. For these candidates, marks obtained in AFCAT and/ or EKT paper of AFCAT 01/2018 (Supplementary) will be considered while preparing the final results.

AFSB testing for the selected candidates started from 30 April 2018. Candidates could select the date and venue for AFSB testing from 14 April 2018 to 18 April 2018. Those who did not select date the venue by 18 April were allotted centres randomly.

AFCAT Cut Off Marks 2017

Number of Students Qualified: Close to 1,75,000 candidates had appeared for the AFCAT written examination in February last year, out of which approximately 10,139 students have been shortlisted for further rounds.

AFCAT 1 Cut off Marks ( 27 August 2017 Exam)

  • AFCAT is 160/ 300 around 53.3% of the Test
  • EKT is 60/ 150 for which is around 40%.

AFCAT 1 Cut off Marks ( 26 February 2017 Exam)

  • AFCAT is 150/ 300 around 50% of the Test
  • EKT is 60/ 150 for which is around 40%.

AFCAT 2 Cut off Marks ( 28 August 2016 Exam)

  • AFCAT is 148/ 300 around 49.3% of the Test
  • EKT is 60/ 150 for which is around 40%.

AFCAT 1 Cut off Marks (February 2016 Exam)

  • AFCAT is 132/ 300 around 44% of the Test
  • EKT is 52/ 150 for which is around 34.6%.

AFCAT 2015 Cut off Marks (September 13, 2015, Exam)

  • AFCAT is 144/ 300 around 48% of the Test
  • EKT is 52/ 150 for which is around 34.6%.
