KEAM Result 2019 - CEE Kerala has announced KEAM result on 21 May 2019. KEAM result 2019 available online and a link to download the same is provided on this page. To check the KEAM 2019 result, candidates are required to enter their application number and password. The result of KEAM Engineering / Pharmacy Entrance Examination will display a candidate's overall and subject-wise marks. Candidates who have appeared for KEAM 2019 must score at least 10 marks in the paper to qualify the test. 99,365 students appeared in Paper 1 and 91,807 students appeared in the Keam Paper 2.

KEAM rank list will be prepared in the third week of June. It will be prepared on the basis of candidate's KEAM score and their performance in their Class 12 board exam. The KEAM Result qualified Candidates can submit their class 12 marks in the first week of June 2019. Candidates who will not submit their marks will not be considered for inclusion in engineering rank list 2019. Candidates can fill their marks by using the online candidate portal. It is expected that the KEAM 2019 rank list will be available by 20 June 2019. CEE conducted KEAM 2019 Paper 1 and Paper 2 on 2nd and 3rd May 2019, respectively for admission to 57,100 B.Tech seats offered by 398 institutes (approximate). How to check KEAM 2019 Result?

Candidates can check the result of KEAM 2019 following the procedure mentioned below.

Details to be verified in KEAM Result

Candidates will find the following details on the KEAM scorecard.

KEAM 2019 Minimum Qualifying Marks

To qualify for the engineering entrance examination and thereby, become eligible to be included in the KEAM rank list, candidates must secure at least a minimum of 10 marks each in the paper I and II. Candidates who will not be able to secure the minimum qualifying marks will not be considered eligible for the counselling process.

Exception: There is no requirement of minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST candidates for inclusion in the KEAM rank list. However, the candidates who fail to answer at least one question in each paper will be disqualified.

In KEAM 2017, 90,806 aspirants appeared for KEAM, of which only 72,440 qualified the entrance test. Among these students, only 61,716 candidates were included in the rank list.

In KEAM 2018, 58,268 students have qualified under the engineering stream while 47,974 candidates qualified for the pharmacy stream. 

Revaluation of KEAM Result

There is no provision for revaluation or rechecking of KEAM OMR answer sheets as the valuation or scoring is fully computerized and will be error-free. 

KEAM Result 2019 - Plus Two Marks Submission

Candidates who have appeared in the online test for KEAM have to submit their plus two marks. The facility for submitting the marks to be open in 1st week of June. Candidates can submit their marks by logging in through online candidate's portal. The link for the same is given below. Candidates can use the result checking window for their submission of marks. For login, candidates have to enter their application number, password and security pin. 

KEAM 2019 Rank List

There will be separate merit list to be prepared for the following courses. These rank lists will be prepared by CEE for admission to professional courses.

  1. Engineering courses
  2. Architecture courses
  3. MBBS/BDS
  4. Medical & Allied courses (except MBBS/BDS)
  5. BAMS courses 
  6. B.Pharm course

Preparation of KEAM Rank List for Engineering Courses

The rank list of KEAM for B.Tech courses will be prepared as per the guidelines mentioned below.

  • Equal weightage of ratio 50:50 will be given to the marks secured in the B.Tech entrance examination (paper I & II) and the marks/grades obtained in class 12 or equivalent examination. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, then the marks of Computer Science will be considered.
  • The marks of class 12 of each subject Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology of candidates who passed the exam will be transformed out of 100. The marks secured in three subjects will be computer out of 300 after the standardization effect in each subject.
  •  The scores obtained by the students in the qualifying examination from any board will be standardized with the respect to the statistical parameters such as Global Mean and Global Standard Deviation.
  • The formula for standardization has been approved by the expert committee, which has been provided below with complete explanation.

The scores obtained by the candidates in the KEAM entrance examination (paper I & II) shall be computed out of 300 and then, added to the total standardized marks of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology as the case may be, of the qualifying examination, computed out of 300, both corrected to four places of decimals. The rank list of engineering courses shall be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained out of an index mark of 600.

Note: Candidates must note that the KEAM engineering rank list will not be considered for admission to B.Arch admissions, as the separate rank list will be prepared for the KEAM B.Arch courses.

KEAM Result 2019 Tie-breaking rule

If the marks of two or more candidates will be equal, then CEE, Kerala will follow the inter-se merit list/tie-breaking procedure to resolve the ties.

Higher marks in Mathematics

Candidate with higher marks in Mathematics will be allotted higher rank in the rank list.

Higher marks in Physics

If the tie still exists, aspirants’ higher marks in Physics  (from Physics & Chemistry paper) will be given better rank

Higher standardization marks in Mathematics

If the tie is still there, higher standardization marks in Mathematics will be considered and candidates will be allotted better rank.

Higher standardization marks in Physics

If the tie still exists, higher standardization marks in Physics will lead to better rank in the merit list.

Age

If the tie still persists, candidate elder in age will be allotted better rank.

KEAM Cut off 2019

CEE, Kerala will release the cut off of KEAM 2019 after the end of every round of counselling. In the KEAM 2019 cut off, the minimum marks required for admission to participating institutes will be listed. KEAM cut off 2019 is the opening and closing rank of various institutes, categories and branches. Candidates who will secure the minimum cut off will have the higher chances of getting admission in KEAM participating institutes.

What after KEAM Result 2019?

After the announcement of the result of KEAM 2019, candidates included in the rank list will be called for the counselling process. KEAM counselling will be conducted in online mode and will be done on the basis of rank, preferences of colleges as well as courses and seats available for the particular course. At the beginning of KEAM 2019 counselling, aspirants have to register online from the link which will be provided here. Thereafter, they have to provide their preferences for courses and colleges in which they are expecting their admissions into. Once the KEAM seat allotment result for round 1 will be declared, the number of candidates who will be granted seats should report at the allotted college along with the list of documents for completion of admission procedure.
