About Igenius Young Singing Stars

Category Singing
Eligibility

Indian and NRI (residing in India for the duration of the program) children from 4-15 years of age are eligible to participate in the singing contest.

Any student studying in government recognized schools including private, public or national open schools/homeschools all over India can participate in igenius young singing stars.

Not eligible:

  • Students who have turned 16 years on the date of registration are not eligible to compete in the contest.
  • Also, Children of directors of Max Life, Universal Music India (“Service Provider”) and Alchemist Marketing Talent Solutions Private Limited (“Service Provider”) shall not be eligible to participate in this Program.
Details
  • Max Life Insurance in association with Universal Music Group has launched a singing competition to find out and nurture the young talents across the country.
  • The contest calls for children from 4 to 15 years of age in two categories to become India’s next singing sensation.
    • i-genius Primary - 4-7 years
    • i-genius Junior - 8 - 11 years
    • i-genius Senior - 12-15 years
  • Participants must be an Indian national or a NRI, resident in India for the duration of the Program.
  • Popular musicians Salim Merchant and Shraddha Sharma have been roped in as the brand ambassadors and jury for the program.
  • The programme will be carried out in 4 phases, the students can submit songs in phase 1 from July 24, 2015 - December 31, 2015
  • There will be just a single phase for the i-genius Primary category.
  • Students who qualify in Phase 1 will move to subsequent phases of the competition.

Details 

Phase 1

  • Registration & Submission of Song at IVR (+919259932222) or igenius website.

Phase 2

  • Digital Auditions: Shortlisted participants from phase 1 will qualify for second Phase, which will be an evaluation round by the jury members.

Phase 3

  • The shortlisted candidates will be mentored by the Brand Ambassador for the Grand Finale Round.

Phase 4

  • Grand Finale: Performances by shortlisted participants for selection of final winners by our expert jury members.

The Program duration is from July 24, 2015 till December 31, 2015 and the recording and production of the Album/Single will be done after the completion of entire phase by December 31, 2015.

How to register for igenius young singing stars

  • Students subject to eligibility criteria have to register themselves on the official website through their parents/ guardian by any one of the following media:
    1. Online via the Website www.i-genius.org >> Register your kid for the singing audition 
    2. Through other digital media (i.e. other websites where the program is publicized)
    3. Max Life representatives including distributors of Max Life Insurance
  • Registration Fee: There is no fee charged for i-genius young singing star registration.

Guidelines for submitting the song in Phase 1

  • The song should be in Hindi Language only.
    • Phase 2 onwards till the Grand Finale, the Participants will be allowed to select songs for submission only from a limited list of songs provided by Max Life/ Universal Music India
  • No Background music should be there in the backround, only the vioce singing of the participant.
  • The song should not be more than 1minute.
  • The song should not be defamatory in its content.
  • Should not contain any obscene, blasphemous, libelous or any other unlawful material.

How to submit your entry for igenius young singing stars

  • After registration, participants have to submit their recorded entry on the widget on the website.
  • The song can be also be recorded through IVR
  • The song should be submitted from a valid mobile number (song submissions from landline numbers will not be accepted.

Reward for the Winners of igenius young singing stars

  • Grand First Prize: 7 winners – an Album contract with Universal Music India, 1 each for Junior and Senior category.

     

     

    • 5 top winners from  Primary category will be featured in a music video.
  • Second Prize: 8 winners – a Singles contract with Universal Music India, 4 each for Junior and Senior categories

  • Consolation Prize: 600 winners – CD hampers
