BHU PET Result 2019 for all courses has been announced by Banaras Hindu University (BHU) except MPA, MFA & M.PEd.) d The result for all postgraduate course in BHU has been declared on 16 June 2019. For most of the PG courses, BHU PET result has been announced. BHU PET exam was conducted from 14 May to 24 May 2019. As the result is declared, the link to check the result is given here. The Banaras Hindu University conducts PET examination for admission in their Postgraduate programs. These post-graduation programs have been divided into “General Courses”, “Professional Courses”, “Special Courses” and “Vocational Courses.” All the Courses are conducted in the respective Faculties. The BHU admission of candidates will be based on the merit list. The merit list is prepared after the declaration of BHU PET Result 2019. BHU PET Result 2019 has been declared on 16 June for all the PG courses admission except MPA, MFA, M.P.Ed. The exam of BHU PET was conducted from 14 to 24 May 2019. The candidates can check the BHU PET result from the link given below.

Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit list in the BHU PET Result 2019. Candidates have to secure aggregate marks in the entrance test to get into the merit list. The University reserves the right to fix minimum qualifying marks for different courses and/or different categories. 

Steps to Check BHU PET Result 2019

For checking the result candidates need to follow the given steps:

  1. Candidates need to visit on the link given on this page
  2. Now candidates need to enter their roll number and date of Birth
  3. The result will be displayed on the screen. check their qualifying status.
  4. Download the result and keep it safe for future use.

The marks obtained by the candidate in the BHU Online test and the overall merit and merit within the category to which the candidate belongs will be emailed at the registered email address and sent through SMS at the registered mobile number provided by the candidate. Therefore the candidates are advised to give correct email addresses/mobile phone numbers for correspondence.

BHU PET Result and Evaluation

There is negative marking in BHU PET for all Courses. Three marks shall be awarded for each correct answer while one mark shall be deducted for each incorrect answer. The unattempted question is awarded zero marks. The candidate shall be selected in order of merit on the basis of aggregate marks secured in the Entrance Test provided he/she fulfils the minimum eligibility criteria and minimum qualifying marks in the test. The University reserves the right to fix minimum qualifying marks for different courses and/or different categories. 

  • Each correct answer will carry three marks.
  • Negative Marks: One mark will be deducted for incorrect answer.
  • The unattempted question will be awarded zero marks

BHU PET Result 2019 - Tie Breaking

In such case, preference is given to the candidates who have a higher aggregate percentage of marks at the Qualifying Examination. However, for BHU admission to MCA Course, the candidate having Mathematics at graduation level will be given preference. If further tie exists, candidates having higher marks in Mathematics will be given preference. In case the candidates have equal marks in the above-stated Examinations, then the candidate senior in age shall be given preference.

Counselling after BHU PET Result 2019

The candidates who get selected to appear in the BHU Online Counselling process will be informed by call letter that can be downloaded from the Entrance Test Portal. If the candidate selected for BHU admission on a particular date/ time, he/ she have to bring the required documentation along with them.

  • Transfer Certificate
  • Migration Certificate, if passed from a university other than BHU (To be submitted not later than 90 days of admission).
  • High School Certificate/equivalent Certificate.
  • Intermediate (+2) Certificate/equivalent Certificate.
  • Mark sheets of High School/equivalent & Intermediate (+2)/equivalent.
  • Mark sheet of the Qualifying Examination.
  • PET Admit Card issued from the office of the Controller of Examinations, BHU.
  • SC/ST/OBC Certificate on the basis of which reserved quota seat is claimed.
  • Certificate(s) in support of the claim for 'Sports Seats'.
  • Certificate of being the son/daughter of a permanent in-service employee/Retired/Reemployed/ Deceased employee of BHU in the prescribed format issued by the Central Registry.
