Download Hindu Hitachi Scholarship Application form.The Hindu Hitachi Scholarships were started in 1959 in collaboration with The Hindu Newspaper and Hitachi, Japan for providing exposure to Indian Engineers to advance Japanese technology and committed work culture

• Hindu Hitachi Scholarship is for technical training in Japan for B.E and B. Sc (Engineering) graduates or equivalent from any recognised university.
• Only 2-3 Engineers are selected each year from all over India.
• The training is conducted for about six months from July to December.
• The Training also includes a 40 days orientation program at one of the AOTS Kenshu centres to teach basic Japanese language and help the scholar in getting aware and used to the Japanese culture and living style.

Hindu Hitachi Scholarship Rewards

• The tenure of the scholarships in Japan is principally for six months commencing in July
• Monthly Fixed Allowance: Each trainee will be paid a monthly fixed allowance to cover personal expenses.
• Air Fare: Trainees will be provided with return Economy Class air passage.
• Stay Arrangement: Arrangements will also be made for free Boarding and Lodging for trainees in Japan.
• All expenses will be provided for travelling in Japan which may be considered necessary for training.

• Applications should be made in duplicate from the forms available on a payment of Rs.5 at the offices of THE HINDU from following offices:

Chennai,  New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirapalli, Puducherry, Hyderabad, Vishakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Mangalore, Bangalore, Kochi, Hubli, Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode. The address to purchase the application form is given below in the address section.

Guidelines to fill Hindu Hitachi Scholarship Application form

The application form must be neatly filled in by the candidate in block letters or typed and has to be submitted in duplicate.

The applicant should provide the following details

• Full Name and Name of the State

• Complete postal address to which all correspondence should be sent.

• Telephone numbers.
• Passport size photographs of the Candidate must be posted in the form.

Documents to be submitted with the application form

• Attested copies (by a Gazetted Officer, Principal of a College or any other respectable individual) of
  • Degree/ diploma: university degrees, diplomas, 
  • Proof of Age: Certificates indicating evidence of age, in support of statements made in the application
    should be attached to the applications. 
  • Important Information for candidates who are employed
    Candidates for employment must submit their applications through their employers; the application may not be considered if not received through proper channel.

Candidates who have already had practical experience in the branches for which training is proposed to be given, will be given preference.Only 2-3 Engineers would be selected.
