• Sparxsmart Design Contest 2015 is being organized by XHY Intelligence, which is an IoT company, developing and manufacturing smart devices, systems and solutions.
• The Sparxsmart Design Contest 2015 is open for global participation unless the participants are above 21 years and are Humans.
• By the means of Sparxsmart Design Contest 2015, XHY Intelligence wants to explore new ideas related to the development of SparxSmart Pet Kit.
• There is no participation fee to be a part of the contest and the winners of the contest can win cash prizes along with a chance to work with XHY Intelligence for 3 months and opportunity to join them for full time work of as a freelancer.
• The submission of the entries to be done by the means of Email and the winner will be informed via e-mail on September 21, 2015.

Sparxsmart Design Contest 2015 Rewards

The candidates selected as the winners of the Sparxsmart Design Contest 2015 will be rewarded with products from XHY Intelligence, cash prize or 3 months paid project experience in Shenzhen, China. There are chances of getting a permanent job opportunity with XHY Intelligence. The details of the rewards are as follow:

• Winners- Mind-blowing SmartSparx: The prize is available for maximum 3 people and it includes working with XHY Intelligence for a period of 3 months with the following perks:
  • To and Fro Tickets to Shenzhen
  • Accommodation for 3 months.
  • Monthly compensation of 7000 CNY (Approx. 70,000 INR) for working in XHY Intelligence in innovation city of Shenzhen, China.
  • The options of getting a full time  job or freelancer work are open after 3 months of ‘trial period’
• Second Runner up- Super SmartSparx: Theprize willbe for a team of 3 members and will include:
  • Cash Prize of 10,500 CNY (Approx. 1 lakh INR)
  • A full scale model of full-scale model of your submission SparxSmart Pet Kit.
  • The options of getting freelancer work are open in case the design is liked.

Sparxsmart Design Contest 2015 Application Process

The submissions of the entries are to be done by the modes of email and the details of the application process are as follow:

• Mode of Application: The interested participants should send an Email with their Name and Contact. A confirmation mail will be sent and after that participants can proceed with the further process involved.
• Design specifications: Thecontest is about designing the following 6 products for SparxSmart Pet Kit:
  • Motion sensor
  • Pet Tracker
  • Pet Feeder
  • Camera
  • Hub or Control Center
  • Designer’s Choice: Think about what pet owners would love to have to make their life simpler.
• Participation: Theparticipationin the contest can be individually as well as in teams of maximum 3 members.
• Number of Submissions: A single team can submit maximum up to 2 proposals.
• Required Documents: In order to complete the submission, the participants need to provide the following things related to their designs:
  • Posters: There should be 2 posters of Size B1 (70x 100 cm), one of them should have the details related to the graphic and explanations for the concept and product while the other should have additional details related to the proposed product, its concepts design, parts and other details.
  • Explanatory Text:  The explanatory text can be of up to 2 A4 size pages, in English and may include diagrams etc. While the Concept Explanation needs to be of 200 words. The full details of the participant such as Name, Profession, Telephone Number, Skype Id and 2 email ids should also be included.
  • Video: Link of avideo can be provided in the submission mail but it is not mandatory. The video should not be more than of 1 minute and can be uploaded on YouTube and the link can be shared.
• Limitations of the Attachments: The attachments should be as per the following standards:
  • Resolution: 300dpi
  • Format: PDF
  • Size: Max 20 MB (including all attachments)
• Submission: To complete the submission of the application, the candidates should send the above mentioned documents to ‘contest@xhycloud.com’.

Sparxsmart Design Contest 2015 Selection Process

The entries submitted can be shared over the Social platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn Profile, Twitter, Instagram, xhycloud.com and Pinterest). And the details of the selection criteria are as follow:

• Evaluation: The evaluation of the product will be based on the following criteria:
  • Aesthetics – 20%
  • Addictive (special ingredient) - 20%
  • Innovative – 20%
  • Intuition – 20%
  • Viability for mass production – 20 %
• Result: the names of the winners will be announced on September 21, 2015 and an exhibition will be organized on September 23-25, 2015.
