  • Nationality: The applicant needs to be either a resident of United Kingdom and from a Muslim community OR a national and ordinary resident of Asia (India).
  • Academic Qualification: The students interested to study Master's, or DPhil course can apply for the Scholarship.
  • Field of Study: The Study needs to be related to any area derived from or of significance to the Islamic tradition, which is important and benefit to the Muslim world.

Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (OCIS) Scholarships Reward

Under The Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (OCIS) Scholarship, selected candidates will be provided financial assistance for college/university fee. The complete details of the rewards are as follow:

  • Number of Scholarships: The scholarship will be offered to 5 candidates.
  • The duration of the Scholarship: The scholarship will be awarded for the period of the selected course of study.
  • Fee: Under the scholarship scheme, 100% of the college and university fee will be provided to the successful candidates.
  • Reward: Financial grant of at least 14,296 British Pound (Approx. INR 14 lakh) will be offered to the candidate to sustain their living allowance.

\The applications are to be made along with the Application for the courses which the students want to pursue. Supporting Statement also needs to be submitted along with the application form to be considered for the scholarship. The selected candidates on the basis of the Academic merit of the applicants will be informed about the result by July 2017.

  • Application form: The applications for the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (OCIS) Scholarship are to be made along with applications for the courses.
  • Supporting Statement: Along with the application, the applicants are required to submit a Supporting Statement in the given format. 
  • In order to be considered for the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (OCIS) Scholarships, candidates must get an unconditional acceptance in the applied course at Oxford.

  • The selection of the candidates on the basis of academic merit will be completed by July 2017.
