NTPC Scholarship 2015 for B.Tech & MBBS Students | SC/ST scholarship

National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) offers scholarships commonly known as NTPC Scholarship to meritorious under privileged Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Physically Challenged students, who have secured admission in reputed Indian institutes in the field of Engineering and Medical.

• Those students who belong to SC/ST/PC category and have completed the first year of their studies at any of the IITs, NITs, BITS-India, or Government Medical Colleges are eligible to apply for the NTPC Scholarship 2015.
• The scholarship amount is of Rs.4000 per month and duration of the NTPC Scholarship 2015 depends upon the field of study selected of the candidate.
• NTPC Scholarship 2015  application form can be downloaded from the website and is to be deposited to the Head of the Institution before August 14, 2015.

NTPC PC/SC/ST Scholarship 2015 Rewards

The duration and the number of scholarships available under NTPC Scholarship 2015 are as follow:

• Number of Scholarship: The number of scholarships available varies with the particular course:
  • For B.Tech: Total 100 scholarships.
  • For MBBS: Total 30 Scholarships.
• Duration of the Scholarship: The duration of the scholarship depends upon the academic course being undertaken.
  • For B.Tech: The duration of the scholarship is 48 months.
  • For MBBS: The scholarship covers the entire period of the course excluding internship period.

The candidates selected for the scholarship will be entitled to the following benefits under the NTPC PC/SC/ST Scholarship:

• NTPC Scholarship Amount: The selected candidates will be given a monthly scholarship of Rs.4000.

The application process for NTPC PC/SC/ST Scholarship is completely offline and the details are as follow:

• Application Form: The Application form can be downloaded from the website and is to be filled by the candidate.
  
• Attachments: The scholarship application should be accompanied by Cast or Disability certificate, a passport size self-attested photo along with attested mark-sheets of the first year.

Submission of the Application Form

• The application form after being completely filled and attested need to be submitted to the Head of the Institution.
• It will be the responsibility of the Institution to scrutinize the forms, verify the details and shortlist 10 candidates for B.Tech./ 5 candidates for MBBS from each SC, ST and PH categories and send the applications to the address mentioned below:

• The selection process of NTPC is completely based on the marks obtained by the candidates in their first-year examination.
